Swati Goyal's Review On Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University For Women -[IGDTUW], New Delhi

I enjoyed my college days especially coz its almost in the heart of the city, its economic fee structure, its good reputation, good placement opportunities.Insufficient infrastructure was a major drawback of this college.

CET by IP university. This is a common entrance test conducted by GGSIPU in the month of may for a myriad number of courses offered by the university.

They have a revised curriculum structure provided by most universities nowadays. The college was affiliated to GGSIP University so the curriculum was same as laid out by the university.

Internship has to be sought out on our own. College doesn't provide a stipend for that. They have a 2 months break after third year during which you have to apply and take a training at some technology based organisation and complete a project/training under them. You should produce a valid training certificate for that.

Placemnets and job opportunities are quite good here especially for the mechanical and Comp. Science branches.Companies like Microsoft, oracle, TCS, maruti, Ericsson, Nissan visits every year.

Impulse was the annual technocultural college fest celebrated with great zeal and fervour. Students from various IITs, DCE and other renowned colleges used to participate.

Fee structure was very economical as the college was funded was Delhi government.While most of the private colleges today demand very high fee structure. This college has a very decent fee structure as this college was founded as an initiative to bring forward female engineers.

College itself doesn't provide scholarship but many associations come forward each year to aid students on merit basis and provide them scholarships.

Infrastructure needs to be upgraded as this is a very old campus (former DCE campus).However they provide all basic necessities in labs and library.Students societies are working actively to conduct various competitions throughout the year, be it robotics event or cultural competitions.

They don't have an active alumni network As students we tried to host an alumni meet but was short of funds for that and college didn't fund the same. Even now they don't have an alumni network. Students re just connected through social networking sites.

Course was based on semester system with each semester having 3 sets of exams. 2 sets of minor exams each and one annual examination at the end of the semester.

Faculty was quite good and experienced in their domains for most of the core subjects. However few faculty members were new and not very good masters of their domains.
