The college in its entirety run by students where we select few students as our representatives and we call them SAC Members.Management is also well experiences and always eager to help in all ways they can.No Bad remarks as i am really very fortunate to be student of this prestigious college and i am proud to my decision i took to come here.

I took GATE 2014 and i scored 600 GATE score.I opted for this college just because of the faculties as each and every faculty over here is research minded and keeps their students motivated. The other reason was the college being only for higher studies. (M.S., M.Tech and P.H.D.)

The course structure is well planned.In M.Tech we have first semester for brushing up all the knowledge we have had acquired in our Engineering and undergraduate days.Next semester is to decide the streams viz, CS, DS, SE, NCE etc. and choose subject and electives accordingly.Next we had our summer semester for personality development and honing other technical skills.Next we need to again choose our subjects and electives according to our interest and field of study.Final semester we need to do internship or thesis with a professor in college.In every semester we are allowed to choose subjects, topics and professors according to our interest and one reading elective for gaining more knowledge in theory and in project elective for implementation and hence these adds a lot to a research oriented students.

In IIITB we have option for internship or thesis. If a student chooses to do internships then college invites reputed companies from the industries which includes but not limited to Cisco, Intel, IBM, Amazon, Practo, Directi, Flipkart etc.Few student have also gone for internships in reputed colleges like Massachusetts Institute of Technology - MIT and for higher studies abroad.The stipend here varies from company to company but usually starts from INR 18000/- per month to INR 55000/- per month.

There are various groups for different things and celebrations of festivals is one among them. WE celebrate almost all festivals but its not very big. Its just students and their willingness to celebrate.For most of the celebration students are voluntarily asked for contributions and then accordingly arrangements are done. In case of help college is always ready to help be it Fund, Logistics etc.

Fee is but expensive as compared to other colleges which are around same ranking and same courses but if one is able to plan the financial conditions then he will never regret. The reason is due to the fact that college doesn't take fund from gov and to retain the high quality faculties and other amenities students fees contributes a bit.Other funds come from alumni, gov projects and faculty research.

49 top gate score among 150 are given scholarship from gov. of india. In my batch it was around 8000/- per month. Apart from this there are various other scholarships available for students where some provides the full tuition fee for two years and some provides monthly stipend like 7000/- per month etc. Infosys provides 7000/- a month for two years then internship for 6 months after the course is completed.

IIITB has dedicated sports fest "SPANDAN" which runs for three to four days starting from the morning to till late night. Campus life is also too good as the campus is full of greenery and diversity among people. Gender ratio was precisely 50/50 last batch but in my batch it got little bit tilted towards more number of male candidates. However admission applications are screened purely based on merit/GATE score.

IIITB inaugurated its brand new hostel just 6 months back which houses more than 600 rooms.Seniors students like IMTech 2nd year on wards, Mtech, MS and PHD are offered single occupancy room while IMTech first year students are provided with twin sharing room.All the rooms are well ventilated, individual big glass window, highly spacious, 24hr hot and cold running water, water coller facility with acquaguard fillers, 24hr security on premise.Hostels for Mens and Womens are separate.

Students in IIITB lives like a family. There are not a single incident of ragging, fighting, eve teasing, etc in my two years and not even heard about these things from earlier students. Seniors here are equally helpful as faculties in every need like academic or non academic. We have alumni meet every year in the college and we get chance to interact with them. Alumni also take good interest and highly motivated to visit college campus and meet their juniors as and when life permits.

Exams here in IIIT-B is not a burden as if a student puts good efforts in understanding the subject as most of the exams are pure practicality based.Yeah but most of the time students in IIITB are busy with projects be it academic or hackathons. Not a single day in IIITB is very hectic or chilled. Its a mixed bag.

To quote about faculties in IIITB is simply a mere collection of words as we are not so eligible to assess such personalities however from my experience i would share about Dr. Ashish Choudury under whom i studied my cryptography and secure multi party computation.This man invest so much amount of hard work to prepare the slides which is student friendly. He completely changed the way we learn and grow against traditional exams pattern to more involved class discussion, homework's, research projects etc. He is very well verse in his domain and i really doubt if there are more than 5 to 6 institutes which provides faculty or education in domain like secure multiparty computation. As far as i remember for this course either one need to be in IIITB under him or in IISC under Arpita Patra who in turn is his Wife and a faculty in IIIT Delhi who happens to be his classmate.Well for me, i am open to talk on him full day but as far as review are concern each and every faculty here in iiitb is gem and all have their own area of expertise and experience.
