Remarks

The admission process was very simple. Professors, Department members, and seniors are present to help you out in filling out the admission form. The eligibility criteria is that your 12th percentage should be equal to or more than the cut-off percentage. Go to the DU website to check the application form routinely, usually, it comes out in May. The college can think about helping the students more by putting up the necessary documents required for the admission process on the board etc, which will be very beneficial for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose History because I love digging up the past! No, I am kidding. I chose it because I love knowing about the past especially of our country. I strongly believe in the quote, "People who do not learn about their past are doomed to repeat it. And the best way to learn from your past is to study it. I am fond of History right from my school days. That is why I opted for History. The History department or faculty is fairly good. Some teachers are excellent, others are below-average. Most of them have completed their post-graduation in History with one or another specialization. In college, the teachers mirror the enthusiasm and zeal for studies. So if you show interest, they will be more than happy to help you. Otherwise, they will be passive. You need to study the previous year's question patterns and predict the questions accordingly. The teachers of the departments and seniors will also help you.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is reasonable but higher than other DU colleges. This can castigate students because they have to pay more than students of other colleges studying on the same campus, often with better faculty and facilities. In an Arts subject, there is rarely a scope of scholarships, financial assistance, or campus jobs. You are on your own!

Campus Life

3.5

Life at the campus is pretty amazing. You get to attend many college festivals, seminars, competitions. DU campus is the zeitgeist of youth's life. You can join clubs and societies according to your tastes. Many prolific members, scholars, academicians, and film stars grace the colleges from time to time. The library is a temple of knowledge. You get a plethora of books, edifying literature on various subjects, and assisting students in making them well-read and erudite. Classroom cleanliness needs a massive improvement. It is not good at all. If you are into sports, you will get plenty of opportunities to showcase your agility and athleticism in various sports events.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

There's a very active placement cell in my college. They conduct placement drives, webinars and workshops. Both the jobs and internships are offered. The best package was of 2024 offering 23 Lpa and the average is around 6 Lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Placements definitely stands out as passive placement cell of the college is too good. They are quite aggressive and keep attacking us with getting ready for placements. As top corporate house like Big 4 and top Indian conglomerate also comes to our college for placements.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is done in the 3rd year. The highest PPO given is 24,00,000 to auditing and taxation departments. Average package is about ?15,00,000 to ?18,00,000. Companies like Eay, KPMG and more visit our college for placement. Most students under the commerce department get offered internships. Other than this, the placement cell also actively keeps sending internship opportunities for students to enhance their profiles. I am an English honours student l, thus there is no placement option for me directly unless I take up options from the P-Cell. I have already interned at EY India, Gurgaon, as a forensics and risk management specialist( throigh personal referral). My knowledge (attained from DCAC) of research, report and article writing were used adequately.

Placement Experience:

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
