Healthcare Management is only available in Jesus and mary college throughout the Delhi university. It is a merit-based course and students of any stream having an interest in the health sector can apply. JMC has its own separate admission form and it is required to register both with Delhi university and JMC. The form is available at the official website of the college. The candidate has to choose the preferred courses in the application form itself. Also as it is a Christian college, Christian minorities get a benefit in admission. The admission process usually doesn't take a lot of time. In 2-4 hours your documents get verified by the convenor and after checking the eligibility you are granted admission in a day or so. After successful admission, you have to submit the fees to secure a seat in the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
If I talk about the course, it is pretty different from the common courses available at Delhi university. It is a blend of management and healthcare. You get to learn management skills and how to implement them in the healthcare sector. Opting for this course was one of the best choices as healthcare is the fastest-growing field in India itself. Also, it is the best course for the students who want to work in hospitals but not as the medical staff. The teachers and the whole faculty are humble and nice. You can talk about your doubts without any worries.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for vocational courses is 25k annually. It is not that expensive but it feels like there are options for scholarships too. There are a variety of scholarships available for Christian students, sports students, etc. Merit cum means scholarships are also available which includes 'Vijay Memorial Scholarship', 'Dr. Prem Singh Award', 'Shri R. R. Mehta Scholarship', etc. The students have to fill up the forms for these. the forms are generally provided by the college. They will issue a notification in the groups for the scholarship.
Campus Life
The Jesus and Mary College has one of the best campuses in DU. There are numerous amenities including a lift, gym(both indoor and outdoor), auditorium, amphitheater, common room, etc. There are lush green gardens to chill around with friends. The canteen serves delicious food and is famous for bhel puri and sev puri. The college has a lot of societies to join including cultural societies like Mudra(dance society), Kahkasha(Nukkad Natak society), Echo(western music society). The annual fest; Montage is one the most happening event in the college.
