As here is admission test system is present you must have very good marks in order to get a chance in this main campus. Minimum first class marks needed and if you get over 70% marks it will be good to be on the merit list. Once you get the chance you have to pay admission fees which is Rs 6000. Reservation seats for other universities student as well as minority students are available.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I have studied chemistry in graduation but have chosen biochemistry in Master's because I want to make a different career for myself. I want to have multiple options available for me. We have almost 35 students in our department. And we have two professors and 2 guest lecturers in our university. So our student-faculty ratio is very healthy for good studies. We have three professors, ma'am. All of them have done Ph.D. They are very student-friendly. They are very interactive while taking online classes. They teach us practical's thoroughly. We have a total of 4 semesters and some practice exams to pass. If anyone study properly he/she can pass.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure may increase a little bit every year. If you study WBUS main campus the fee will be much lower than any affiliated college. The admission fee was approximately Rs 6000 and then for every semester the fee is between Rs 4500-6000. So the total cost of the study is approximately 20,000. However, you can get a 30,000 rs scholarship per year if you score over 53% marks in post-graduation. Swami Vivekananda Scholarships and Kanyahsree are the main scholarships. There are many private scholarships too. But our university-approved only one scholarship per student. There is no job placement offer after course completion. You have to look for your opportunity.

Campus Life

4

Our university campus is very wide and full of green trees. Campus life is good. There is no ragging incident with new students. We have a helpful student union group. We did not have many celebrations in our university. We have a fresher's welcoming programs and some other festivals. We have an outstanding library. It is my most favorite place. You can get a very wide range of books available. From departmental books to journals magazine available. Many social, business, self-help, novels comedy storybooks are available there. The library room is very clean air-conditioned. All the books are kept in colorful bookshelves. Our classroom is also very good. We have glass windows and benches are for single students and wall paints are very clean. We have hostel facilities within our campus you can apply for hostels easily. We have some sports activity too.

Placement Experience:

Actually this is a general degree University , so I must mention that placement facalities are not so good. But yes , Job Fair is organised in University by some external agencies which offer jobs varying 2-2.5 lakhs per annum . But in the university most of the students do not accept that jobs. Half of the students are more interested on the higher studies. So ahet completing the fourth semester they prepare for PhD. And the another half are preparing for central government sponsored exams like CGL, CHSL, RRB, SBI , IBPS, LIC etc. University has a significant number of students who have qualified for Government Competitive exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My decision to choose this course depended on the fact that this course provides you with the opportunity to get various jobs in the industries with a high lpa. But this college does not help much in that aspect. All I had to do was myself. It is my humble opinion that the institution should improve its guidance in the area of its teaching methods. The exams were twice a year and were quite difficult on their own.

From the 2nd last semester, that is the final year, students become eligible for campus placements. Last year, two of our seniors got placed at Reborn Child Development Centre (Durgapur and Asansol) with an average package of Rs 200,000. This year, three students of our batch, including me, got an internship for three months at Reborn through an in-person interview.
