Anonymous's Review On Indian Institute Of Science Education And Research - [IISER], Mohali

Due to interest in research from childhood. My dream is to make a discovery which can provide a Nobel Prize to India in area of Chemistry. I want to fulfill the dream of my parents. One of the reason of joining this college is it's National Importance and it's world class facilities and professors.

Upto the mark but needs some improvement. There is very strict schedule and to score you have to give extra 6 hours daily on study on the side of class and labs. There is 3 hours of class and 3 hours of labs and after that you start to feel tired but you have to study after labs and class with near about 6 hours to score good grades. This needs to be changed. Students should be given leisure time.

Only some students go for placement after their 5 year degree mainly students go to foreign universities for their further education. Almost all students are selected in foreign universities in some of the best universities such as Harvard. MIT, Yale, Stanford, Planacks etc many other. You can find atleast one student fromIISER Mohali in top universities.

Campus life is full of enjoyment. All festivals are celebrated with great enthusiasm. Special dinner are organised on festivals. DJ Nights are organised every month.Insomnia is the annual cultural fest. This year 2020 fest is not organized due to corona virus and as I am the first year student I have missed the chance of joining the event.

Inspire- This is scholarship awarded to those who are top performers of board exams. A monthly scholarship of 5000 is given and stipened of 20,000 is given every year for summer intern. Some students get KVPY scholarship which is given on basis of KVPY exam

Infrastructure is world class but due to government rule you can't colour building that's why our college is lacking colour on buildings otherwise infrastructure is very good. Sports facilities is very good with separate stadiums for all sports.Wifi is very fast. Best award of any college library goes to IISER Mohali.

There are total 5 hostels each with 8 floors. 4 hostels are for students and 1 hostel is visitor hostel which is in the shape of dollar and that's why called dollar building. One of the most buitiful building in our college. Hostels are ompulsory for every student.
