IIM Trichy- review

The criteria are similar to those used by the majority of the B-schools. IIM Trichy's admission process was quite smooth and the administration staff was quite helpful. The portal was extremely user-friendly, with everything being simple to find. There were no issues using the portal. A minimum of 93 percentile is required to get selected for the admission process, with 70 percentile in each section of CAT exam.

A student enrolled in the PGPM program has to complete a total of 96 credits in 2 years. The student-to-faculty ratio for the PGP courses is 15:1. Also, the gender diversity is very good, i.e. 60:40 (Boys: Girls). All the facilities are highly competent in their field of study, with many holding masters and doctoral degrees from prestigious institutes. The approach is cased based, with plenty of opportunities to offer one's thoughts in the form of class participation during lectures.

IIM Trichy offers several internship opportunities to its students and has a track record of successfully placing all the students. The avg stipend that is offered is Rs 85,0000, with opportunities available in every field. Delloite, JPMC, Airtel, Avendus, and KPMG are among the top summer recruiters, offering a variety of roles such as wealth management, investment banking, marketing, and consulting, to mention a few.

The placement at IIM Trichy is increasing at an exponential rate with Avg. placement of 15.12 Lakhs being offered to students. The firms that come for recruiting are from the Fortune 500 and have global exposure. Investment banking, Brand management, Consultant, and sales are among the roles that are offered. Top consulting firms such as Bain and company and Mckinsey & Co. are prominent recruiters for IIM Trichy.

IIM Trichy offers a fee structure that is identical to those of other institutes of the same level. For my PGDM, I paid a total of INR 16.8 Lacs, which included tuition and academic facility fee. I applied for a financial grant and was able to receive it after meeting the institute's eligibility criteria.

Here at IIM Trichy, we have a wonderful campus with all the amenities to assist students in their holistic growth. In addition, the college has various academic and non-academic clubs like Culcomm, Finvest, and the sports club, that organizes various events throughout the year. Different festivals such as Dhruva are held on our campus in the month of November.

Single occupancy rooms with all the amenities are provided to the students. The rooms are quite spacious. The hostel mess maintains a balance of north and south Indian flavors, students at IIM Trichy never had a problem with the mess food. Overall hostel life is pretty amazing.

After the CAT exam, there was a personal interview round for the CAP round. Tell me about yourself, Why MBA, Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years, etc. were some questions that were asked in my interview. There are no set of questions that mentors ask you, so you should we ready with basic current affairs as well as your CV.
