Central University of Haryana pros and cons

Admission in the central university of Haryana infact all central universities can be taken by giving central university common entrance test (CUCET) which is usually conducted between May-July but due to covid last year it was conducted in September or October and application fees are between 600-700, I don't remember exact fees but it is between 600-700 INR it may be less for reserved category and girl candidate after giving cucet you need to apply on the cuh.ac.in website for counseling. Counselling rounds are conducted and you will get your seat according to your marks after you've accepted your seat then you'll have to pay your tuition fee at that time only which is 65,000 for all candidates and sc/st candidates get a full tution fee waiver. there are 4 course in Btech in the central university of Haryana: 1) Btech (computer science and engineering) 2) Btech (Electrical engineering) 3) Btech (Civil engineering) 4) Btech (printing and packaging technology).

Term exams are always conducted according to the academic Calendar and after covid during online classes term exams are conducted into proctored form. I would say that the difficulty level of the exam is moderate level. One can pass the exam easily with 2 weeks of hardcore study.

I am right now in 2 nd year so I myself have not been to an internship but seniors are working as interns in TCS, Wipro, and others in L&T, etc. The internship opportunities are also expected to improve in the near future.

Btech course in university is very much new the first batch had started in 2016 so no such placements have taken place but some of the students have got a job in local firms which provide 4,5 LPA but some students tried off-campus and they have got a package of 8,9 LPA. A student can sit for placement in the 4th year and just from the previous year placement opportunities are increasing and the training and placement cell of the university is inviting a lot more companies than before so the placement scenario is going to increase. And a lot of students in university sit for the GATE exam for further studies.

I didn't get any scholarship but for economically weak students who score good marks, the university provides merit cum means scholarship, and their tuition fee is refunded. Although the fees are very much less as compared to other govt. Colleges as well which provide BTech courses. And currently, I am in my 2nd year so I can't say about the stipend but yes our seniors have got an internship which provided them some stipend.

The campus life is excellent. Infrastructure: University is excellent in terms of infrastructure it has a campus of the area around 500 acres. Classroom: classrooms have ac, projectors, and mic and speaker facility. library: the library has a large collection of various types of books, it has ac and has wifi as well. Sports facilities: the university has almost all the sports facilities available. clubs : there are various clubs like drama, dance, robotics and several others which are functional campus: the campus is spread around 500 acres of land. The whole campus is equipped with wifi including an academic block, a central library as well as a hostel, the university has bus facility for going from one point to another and to the nearby town as well. The university has 2 auditorium as well. Fests: we have an annual fest 'Spandan' which is celebrated in February and various other events like DJ night, etc.

The university provides hostel to students each room has 3 students every student is provided with one bed, one table, one chair, one almirah. all the rooms have attached balcony to it hostel has a gym area and badminton court, hostel fees is just rs. 400 mess fee is not included which is 3400 rs per month and although the meal is not very great just like any other hostel. All the students do not get hostel because there is a shortage of hostel although all the girls get hostel but to boys, the hostel is allotted on the basis of marks of their odd semester.
