Remarks

First of all, to take admission you have to give JEE mains then after that you have to register in JAC Chandigarh counselling, in this counselling, there is a special quota for Chandigarh residence and there is 60 seats in each branch. After you register for jac Chandigarh you have to pay 2500 rs as registration fees after that common merit list is issued by the counselling body. Now after all this counselling starts and it has 3 rounds and after 3 rounds spot round is also conducted if seats remain vacant. If you got a seat in counselling you have to pay 40000 rs as a seat acceptance fee, if you fail to pay then your seat will be cancelled. And after paying fees college will call you for document verification and for paying reaming fee and here counselling ends.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I got 65000 in jee mains and I chose the ECE branch in ccet because of the campus life and the opportunity which you ger is pretty good. Now if you talk about the student-faculty ratio then it is approx 1:62. The faculty is cooperative to students and most of the faculty are Ph.D. holders and have good experience in their respective fields. Teacher teach decent and one of the best things is that they provide handwritten notes for exam preparation Talking about exams, we have 2 sessional and 1 end sem paper in 1 semester with are not very difficult if you will attend the class and study notes given by teachers.

Internships Opportunities

1.5

If I talk honestly then internships are very little provided by institutions many students apply off-campus and get a good internship. Basically, if you are in the right peer group and preparing for an internship then you can grab one. My batch got selected in Microsoft as an intern of stipend of 45 k per month. So you can grind then you will surely get an internship.

Placement Experience

3.5

Talking about placement then it is good and generally, cse and ece student are placed but if we talk about civil and mechanical then placement are not good very less company visit of civil and mechanical. But all students can prepare for tech companies. The highest package was 28 LPA given by amazon. And average ctc ic 5-6 lakhs. Major companies visit are amazon, ibm, godrej, tata, flipkart, adobe, wipro, tcs, samsung, hindustan uniliver and many more. Generally, cse and ece students are placed if we talk about eligibility in placement then 7 and 8 sem students can appear and CGPA must be 6 and above to maintain a good cgpa to be on safer side. Talking about percent of students placed are: cse- 80% ece- 70% mech - 45% civil- 35% As of the previous year data and one student apply off-campus for better opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college is very affordable and the cost of the study is not very high. If we talk about fees it is 32000 per sem which is 64000 per year and apart from this, you have to pay certain same charges like exam fees, etc which are very nominal. There is no price hike policy as of now and scholarship is also provided by the college. First of all their scholarship for sc/st students. Second for defence quota students and the third one for meritorious students.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is just awesome as it is situated in the middle of the city and you got tons of hangout places nearby and campus area is also good which is 32 acres. If we talk about the library it is also good college has both digital and normal library which is equipped with all books and journals. The college organizes one annual fest which is called "apratim" which is decent and contains several cultural programs, hackathon, tech events and many more now moving on the infrastructure of the classroom then we can say it is well equipped with projector and smartboard. The college has very good sports facilities such as cricket, football volleyball, tennis. the clubs are also available in college which is called ACM which host hackathons you can check from below given website club website- ccet.acm.org

Hostel Facilities

3

Now moving on hostel boys hostels is old which going to new build in 2 to 3 years but girls hostel is brand new and builds only 6 months before. accommodation in hostel is on merit-based generally outside Chandigarh student gets hostel easily boys have to share a room with 4 students. and girls have to share with 2 students both girls and boys hostel are provided with basic amenities such as a table, chair, bed, fan, light, cupboard. mess is decent and clean, it is fully vegetarian, provide 3 meal a day and charge 3000 per month hostel charge is 4000 per year. If we talk about pg then there are several pg in sector 26.

Placement Experience:

You can appear for placements starting from 7th semester onwards plus you can apply yourself as well to various off-campus opportunities. The companies which visit are decent i would say including the likes of Amazon, Deloitte, Hero came as well few years ago for mechanical engineers. Around 50-60 decent companies visit the college for placement with around 300 job offers with the highest package around 41 lpa which was off campus probably but Amazon could give upto 25-30 lpa i guess, The average package would be around 7 lpa i guess but its gonna improve year by year. If you are in CSE or IT you are most chilled with around 80% placements, in ECE as well there are decent placements but after that you have to study really well to get placed But you can always do a lot of things after getting your degree.

Remarks:

I chose this because of the brand of Panjab University. Plus you get a lot of exposure of Chandigarh and there are a lot of opportunities there based on your field, even better than Delhi. Plus you never get distracted in Chandigarh because of the reason that people are too much work and ethics focused. Also, the level of knowledge the teachers have in my college is just great.
