VNIT - A journey

The Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology is one of the National Institute of Technology and it is one of the top NIT's in our country.

I gave JEE Main Entrance Exam for entering the Visvesvaraya National Institute of Tecchnology. I opted this college as it is one of the National Institute of Technology.

I am in Chemical Engineering Department. The course structure is very good and it takes into account all the core subjects and basics needed for a student to become a good Chemical Engineer. The research facilities available are also excellent as their are well equipped laboratories for each subject.

Yes Our college does provide internship and companies like Sun pharma comes to our college for taking students as intern so that they can practical experience of industry

The placements and Job opportunities in our college are very good and many good companies like Hindustan Unilever Limited,Pepsi, Sun Pharma and many mor good companies does come in our campus. Training and Placement Cell In our college is specially created fro such works.

The events celebrated in our college are Freshers - This is a event specially organised for first years who want to perform and gain entry to different clubs in the college. AXIS - This is central India's Largest Technical Festival celebrated in our college.It boosts the technical side of the students. AAROHI - Aarohi is the cultural fest of the college. It is the central India's Largest Cultural Fest and celebrated with great zeal across the college.

The fees structure of the college. For the current academic year it is - 39100 per semester and hostel fess additional as per the hostel you select. The fees of our college is different for different sections. What I have mentioned is the fees of General Category Students.

No scholarship is not provided by college.

Gender ratios depend on department. My Department has 50:50 gender ratio.

I am a Day Scholar so I dont use Hostel Facilities.

The alumni network of chemical engineering is not yet developed as the department is too new. It started in 2007.

The exam structure is in following ways. There are 2 semester exams of 15 marks totalling to 30 marks. There is one End Semester Exam of 60 Marks which contains all the syllabus. The remaining 10 marks is alloted as internal Marks. Thus the exam pattern is able to completely check the student's proficiency.

The faculty of the college are very experienced and themselves have a vast experience of teaching to the engineering students or they have worked in the chemical industry for a long time and have a practical experience of working in industry
