Remarks
Admission in this college is purely on merit of Class 12 Result. The application generally begins 1 month prior to Class 12 Result. The admission process is seemless and fully online. Even if someone has to switch between different colleges/courses, it takes place online without much hassle. Some seats are even reserved under sports quota since the college participates in different sports events pan-India.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is theoritical due to which there is less scope for us in the real world. The faculty members are highly qualified and educated. The professors have completed their degree in MSc and Phd from well renowned universities from across the globe. They help us in clearing our doubts on a regular basis by providing weekly doubt sessions. The faculty to student ratio is good. Two semester exams are conducted in a year and it is very easy to score a 8+ gpa even after studying 1 week before exam including practicals.
Internships Opportunities
The internships provided to the students are quite good. The internship stipend lies between 7-15k per month. Internship opportunities are offered with a role of sales marketing, graphic designing, web designing, social media manager etc.
Placement Experience
The campus placement is poor for BSc students. Although it provides good placements for BCom and BA students. The Placement and Internship Cell is quite active to provide students with the best of opportunities. Getting internship is quite easy for students. The average package is 6 lpa and the highest package is 22 lpa offered by a consultancy firm to a BA Economics student.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fee structure of BSc is very affordable as compared to Btech. Yearly college tuition fees is Rs.20000 and the college provides a lot of scolarships for meritorious students. Getting Internships from college is very easy due to the brand name of Hindu College. There is a dedicated training and placement cell in the college. Though getting a placement is quite hard for BSc students. Most of the students getting placed are from BCom and BA. BSc students prefer to study further from top colleges across the globe.
Campus Life
The campus crowd is of another level here. You cannot have such a vibrant mix of cream students from different states and cities to exchange their thoughts and views compared to any other college in India. The Delhi University atmosphere is completely magical. There are various clubs in campus. The library is quite big with new audiobooks feature also. The sports activities are of wide range including table tennis, football, badminton etc.
