Remarks

After giving my WBJEE exam through councelling i got selected for Information Technology Branch in FIEM. The department, as well as the college, is nice not too good not too bad . If somebody got selected for this collage and want to get placed in MNC like CTS. Wipro, TCS can opt for this collage. The admission process is simple you just have to do the councelling and getting the seat allotment letter you can come to the collage and do the futher process . I would like rate this collage 3.5 out of 5. My overall experience is nice.

Course Curriculum Overview

After getting Information Technology department in FIEM I was very much excited. As currently there is only one section of IT department so total students are 60 and total numbers of teachers in the department is 12 . Some faculty members are very nice and friendly and HOD is also good overall. And all terms and exams are on time , there is no delay in semester till now.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 84000 per year

Placement Experience

From the end of the 3rd year which basically mean at the end of 7th semester student can sit for placement . The company which basically visit is CTS , Wipro and Capgemini . In my department almost all 90% of the students are placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Semester fees is 42,000 rupees for the odd semester and 44,000 for even semester . And scholarship are provided to the student who belong to west Bengal under various West Bengal campaign . There is category called TWF who can pay ony tution fees that is only 20,000 per semester and it is affordable for middle class family.

Campus Life

There are basically four clubs in the college. The technical and cultural clubs are there where students can participate. Fests basically happen in the month of April to June and students as well as teachers enjoy a lot. I am part of Technical club where we learn as well as enjoy a lot.

1)From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement. 2) Cognizant , TCS(most fav), Wipro, startups, IBM visit for recruitment . 3)In 2023 highest was 45lpa by amazon average is 4.5lpa. 4)From our Hostel each and every senior get placed. some with good package like tcs digital, even off campus (2025). 5)My plan is to take a job and enter in IT firm to learn and teach new technolgies through my YOUTUBE.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally i opted for electrical and electronics instead of the branch of my choice is because my scores were not enough to secure a seat in CSE. But EEE is pretty cool as well for those willing to grow in this branch. Our curriculum exposes us to the rapidly growing sectors in the industry and educates us of all we need to know about the course in depth. If you want to continue ahead in a research field, this Institute is the most supportive. The exam questions are also relevant enough and considering we only need to actually stress over end semesters, its fair enough per semester. It would be better if our professors removed the attendance criteria rest im fine with everything else

FIEM - The Nooks and Corners !

There were few colleges I applied to based on my WBJEE ranks . There was St. thomas college, techno college , heritage , msit and many more . If you know the way of how WBJEE admissions work , you will know we need to give a list of college and they would choose according to our preference and rank . Now according to that , I got this college . Well, if telling why I didn't get applied in other colleges which were much better it was due to my WBJEE rank , which was not that upto mark . Talking about the admission process , its just following the process of WBJEE admissions and on admission day providig the necessary documents needed by the college which will be informed ( or maybe we need to know) . If we talking about cut offs it changes every year so we need to look after it from previous years' cut off list . Also , you need to have atleast a good percent in both ICSE and ISC for admission....Read More
