Remarks

it is one of the best nits in india was a reason to select this college .Best thing about the college is there are various clubs in the college.All the clubs are very active . being a part of the technical club i got lots of things to learn . As such food is the problem for north indians but by the time it gets comfortable to the college environmentcollege is located 22 kilometres from the main calicut city. Airport is around 32 kilometres from the college.

if you are interested in a particular subject then the professor will always help you . They will guide you for the research projects and give all the sources which they can provide. most of the professor has the degree of phd . Two exam are held each semester one is mid term and end term and the distribution of marks varies from semester to semester

after 4 semester students become eligible for the placements . Highest pakage is around 50 lakhs from last 3 years . average students placed from is 88 percent . Students can apply for internship after 2nd year and full time offer after 3 rd year

Campus Life

Life at campus is too amazing. I miss my college life. Ragham and tatva are the two biggest fest of the college . Ragam is the cultural fest of the college and tatva is technical fest . all this fest last for 3 days each . Library has all acess to book and student can sit and study in library .

Hostel Facilities

for north indians meal is not that good .You might get to have a north indian food but it is not like our expectations. Registration of the hostel is done on the same day of admission and stationary and mess are present in the same hostel.Rest the hostel facilities provided is goo

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
