Remarks

Its an amazing college with good infrastructure and teachers. It ranks 5 among the NIT's and it seemed perfect for my college. I checked the ratings from Collegedunia and found out for it to be a Very good college

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is perfectly inclined towards my branch, But some unnecessary subjects are there in 1st year which waste time. Midterm exams are conducted for 20 marks and final exams for 30 marks. Exams were of mediocre level

Placement Experience

Placements and internships start from 3rd yearj onwards, where many hood companies like google, SAP, Texas instruments com3 every year for placements, Also salary is paid for internships. I'm going to get a job after B.tech and no further plans on M.Tech

Fee Structure And Facilities

There are ample amount of scholarships available for the socially economic backward classes and . They also assisted some of the students with some free laptops and online resources to help.with the online classes

Campus Life

Many clubs available in National.institute of technology, calicut.both Technical and non technical clubs are there like robotics, music, NSS, Sports ,etc. many copies of books related to engineering are available.in the library and all process are conducted in a modern way using electronic library cards

Hostel Facilities

Meals provided are different for every day of the week, but the meals in mess are not that good. And also the curries are watery. But the Canteens outside have very good cuisines and everything is perfect there. Registration process were quite easy where we just had to.fill.the form and approach the faculties to.allocate us a room.

Admission

There wasn't any Group discussion, or interview for admission. it was all based on the rank obtained in JEE mains. Just a small get to know session was there

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
