Remarks

Earlier I applied to Deshbandhu College, DU because the cutoff is very low for my course and after the 5th cutoff, I took admission in MAC. Also, The infrastructure of deshbandhu is not good as compared to MAC because MAC was built a few years before. When you visit MAC I am sure that you will love the infrastructure and the location. I took admission in MAC through OBC quota and my quota helped me to get my course at 78.2% on 5th cutoff...So if u have quota then it will definitely help u in getting your dream course. The minimum percentage to get into MAC in any course in first cutoff is 95% according to me but it varies every year...so if u have around 80% in 12th class then you dont need to worry about anything also it depends on how many seats are left in the course. Admission process is almost online and to get into any DU college u need to check cutoff of your course and college accordingly...and at the time of admission u need to submit your original documents to the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I choose this course because I wanted to study Computer Science that's why this is the only course in this college that has Computer Science as a Core Subject. Otherwise, there are 3 main subjects in this course PHYSICS, MATHEMATICS and COMPUTER SCIENCE/Chemistry and the 4th subject is additional which changes every semester. The Faculty of every subject is great and well qualified from great universities. they know what to teach students so that they can clear the exams. But if you have any curiosity learning things from out of the course then some faculty might not help you. In this you need to do it by yourself. Faculty are good to those students who are disciplined and who want to do something in life. if you discuss your problems with them then they will definitely help you. I am saying this because they helped me alot. Exams were conducted on time every year and they are soo easy to pass because more than 80% of paper comes from the previous year question papers. so just revise 10years

Internships Opportunities

1.5

Internship opportunities are available but not enough to provide internships to every student so you can say internship opportunities are not available as the college needs. Also they TPC will provide internships but not in the field that you will like. and Physical Science students rarely get internships in their respective fields so the condition is not good for campus placement. If you are from BCOM or BBE then there is a possibility that you will get internships easily but not for other courses. Also, the stipend in internships are not good and rarely MNC arrives in our college According to me the condition is not good for campus placements so try to find opportunities from off-campus this is the only thing that will help you here.

Placement Experience

1.5

Campus placement is almost negligible you need to work hard and try to find your first job from off-campus. I got selected in the WIPRO WILP program from campus placement but it was not a good offer so I rejected it. also it's TRUE that you will not find your dream company and job from campus placement. Students can apply for internships from 1st or 2nd year but can apply for jobs from 3rd year. but as it's not soo famous college that's why companies don't come here easily. In my course, less than 5 students are placed through campus placement but they all rejected the offer because the company and job are not good also they don't offer a good package. So, at last, you need to find jobs off-campus only. don't completely rely upon campus placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of my course is 15k per year. also, the fee structure depends on the course which you are choosing. It varies from course to course. If you are financially weak and if you can show or provide EWS Certificate then the college will not take fees from you. also they can provide you a DTC bus pass at a very low cost for students. This is the main advantage of studying at DU. When it comes to job opportunities then, to be honest college will not help you to land your dream job. You need to apply off-campus to get a good job. but they can help you find 1 or 2 job opportunities but you won't like it I am sure. So my suggestion is don't rely completely on-campus on placement try off-campus as hard as you can.

Campus Life

3.5

First of all, you will definitely love the infrastructure of our college it's big, clean and feels like it's brand new. Also if you want to do some other activities apart from studies then you will find almost 21 societies to choose from and these societies will help you a lot in making you social and Confident. If you like studying then the library is very big. you can go and find tons of books to read. Also if you like sports then there are a lot of sports teams in which you can enroll. As I was on the football team of my college and also in the street play society of my college. If you like concerts and stage performances then the fest season is the days you will never forget. in the year 2019 Jass Manak just came to our college and it was fun. DU colleges have soo many funds to invite any Indian celebrity. fest usually starts from Feb to march

Companies like Google, Deloitte, KPMG, HDFC Bank, Maruti Suzuki, McKinsey, etc visited our college for placements and recieved over 200 placement offers in the latest year 2025. Highest package of Hindu College is 36.5 LPA and the average package is 11.4 LPA. Hindu College has a high placement rate of 95% of eligible students securing a placement here. My plan is to prepare for UPSC or SSC-CGL after my degree.
