Remarks

The admission process went well. I opted for CSE branch in various colleges including IIIT Sonepat and got it through my mains rank. The cutoff for IIIT Sonepat was around 17k rank in mains for CSE and around 22k for IT. I had to submit various documents like 10th and 12th certificates, medical certificate, etc. in online mode. I got this college through a counselling process called Josaa Counselling.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this college because it is an Institute of National Importance. IIIT Sonepat has two branch CSE and IT. The faculty to students ratio is 1:10 approx. The faculty in IIIT Sonepat is very good. Teachers are well qualified (mostly PHD holders) and students can ask doubts any time. All the classes are held timely. Examinations are taken on time and it is easy for students to pass the exams with good marks. But in papers more logical questions come than theoretical concepts.

Internships Opportunities

Our college has invited many top reputed companies for intership and they are offering good stipends to students like 40k , 50k per month approx. Some companies like Nucleus, Cvent etc. Many students go for intership based on LinkedIn opportunities because they easily get intership there than waiting for companies on campus.

Placement Experience

Students can appear in placement at the start of 7th semester. Many companies visited our college for recruiting students like Adobe System, IBM, Q3 Technology, Posist Technology, Cvent, Jivox, Paytm etc. Approx 30-40 companies visited the college. Highest package was 44LPA offered by Microsoft for post of software engineer and Average Package was 13LPA for 2017-21 batch CSE+IT. For ECE it was 9LPA approx. Approx 80-85% students got placed this year. I want to be a software engineer in a reputed company after my 4 year college.

Fees and Financial Aid

In IIIT Sonepat Tuition fee is approx 90k per semester currently and 6k per month mess fee and 6k per month histel fee. There are various scholarships available through central and state government schemes but no scholarship is provided by the college directly as of now. There are many top-notch companies that come for recruitment of IIIT SONEPAT students during Placement like some past recruiters are Adobe, Flipkart, PhonePe, Cvrnt, Airtel X lab, Walmart, Samsung, Paytm etc. Many 3rd year students got stipend based intership of stipend money like 30k per month, 70k per month, 20k per month etc. Some 2nd-year students got intership of stipend 8k , 10k, 15k per month by online platforms like Linkedin.

Campus Life

There is a cultural festival which we celebrate with the name BLITZ in the month of February every year. There is a small library in our college to fulfill all basic needs and we can also use DTU library because IIIT SONEPAT has signed MOU with DTU. The classroom is of the big area with tables, chairs, AC, Digital board etc. Sports activities and extracurricular activities are like limited editions for our college because our permanent campus has not been established yet. There are many clubs like E-cell, Gamers Club, GDSC, Photography club in our college which are runned by students.

My Experience in JC Bose University

Likes

I like the claim and composed environment, no one shouting or making noise
Each buliding have lift which help reach higher floor easily
Having strong alumni association which help student get placement

Dislikes

I don't like the paper work delay during the admission after paperwork
Campus less crowded places are not maintained very well
Older buliding classes don't have ac in the classroom

Course Curriculum Overview:

In Electrical course we have many kind have course which design for solving various kind of problem in field , BSC ( Basic science course ) , ESC ( Engineering Science Course ) , DSC ( Disciplinary specialized Course ) , VAC ( Value Added Course ). Professors teaches with real life example and use 3D shape and animation to explain things easily.

The college is spread across 300 acres of lush green campus with a lot of greenery everywhere. The weather is also very pleasant
The infrastructure of the college is well maintained with proper department and parks . The labs are well equipped with the necessary equipment required for the practical knowledge of the student.
Sports facilities are also top notch in the college and also gym is provided in the sports ground.

Dislikes

In rainy season water stands in the hostels making it difficult to move in and out of the hostel.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate of the college is decent one with average package of about 12-14 LPA amd about 85% students are placed every year. Students can apply for placements after 2nd year and companies like JP Morgan , microsoft, Hero , ICICI Bank , etc. Visit the college

Infrastructure of our college is too good,having proper ventilation system ,well equipped AC ,a hygienic environment having a lush green campus.it has proper wifi facilties in the campus. I would personaly rate it 4.5/5.
Here we get exposure to various growth opportunities like sports,studies and research.Even our college is open for students who plan to start their startup. our college provides specific amount help for students aspiring to run their own startup.
while talking about social interaction, our college has a good crowd and people are friendly so its easy to connect with them,all the faculties are expert in their domain having a good background and knowledge in their feild

Dislikes

CCTV's are not present in class which should be there for security purpose. only in the campus and corridors CCTV are present.It's kind of hard for students to get their medical certificate approved , they need a lot of formalities.
Mess food is not upto the mark, it should have been better thats why students have to go to canteen and food stalls to eat food and in campus girls to boys ratio is too less .less number of girls as compared to boys.
The library space is also very short ,it get's crowder and filled up during exam times so students have to go to other libraries present in the campus and it gets hard for student to study in summer's outside the library.

Placement Experience:

Four campus placements student get eligible after the 6th semester and from 6th semester companies come and they search for their Perfect suit And they just simply Conduct their interviews in the College campus Various companies visited our college like HCL,TCS and many more Offering a basic scale payoff around 6,00,000 Per year. Average package for our college is around three to six lakhs and the highest package a student got is around 54 lakhs Per year. For sitting in placement at least 6 cgpa is required to Get eligible for Placements But most of the companies ask for 7CGPA and above and only few companies are there which demand 6 cgpa students. My planes after getting this degree is Doing a job and then Lumping amount So that I can open up my business in the form of cafe or something else. But somewhere I will like to become nlp engineer As I have interest in sound processing system and AI and being from IT background I have good coding skills and communication skills. Till the age of 40 I Start my own business or a startup. At last but not least Our college has a good placement Drive system And a good academic system too and one can easily prepare for placements if he studies well.

Likes

I liked the environment alot. The infrastructure is very good.
The food court is also very good and provide good food on affordable price.
I like the teachers alot they are very easygoing and friendly to communicate with.

Dislikes

I don't like the uniform system as they ask us to wear it daily.
There should be days atleast once a week where we can wear casuals in college.
The teachers are very strict about the study.

Placement Experience:

From 2nd year onwards we can prepare for it as we are equipped with hands on experience on multiple projects and practical knowledge. Till now the highest package has reached 45 lakhs per annum. I don't think that percentage matters as practical knowledge is more superior that theory part. I am planning to go for MNCs.

Genuine and Biased review

Likes

Wifi facility is available in hostels and in some classrooms
Teachers are quite good and they are very helpful

Dislikes

Placement are not good in dcrust one some some students get placed with maximum packed of 9 lakhs minimum 2.5 lakhs
Course curriculum is not updated they are not helpful in modern time.
Girls and boys ratio are not upto the mark.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not good in my college. Only few companies are recruiting through on campus like virtusa, tcs etc. average package is 3-4 lakhs and maximum package is 9 lakhs. From 4th year students are eligible for on campus placement. Only 30-40% of students get placed. I am thinking to give gate exam for better opportunity.

Placement at college is average mostly 80% of students are placed in this college student is eligible for placement from the 7th semester. Companies like Airtel, Infosys, Wipro, and swiggy, mostly company visit here highest package in 2023 is approx. 28 LPA and the average package is 5-6 LPA.

Best affordable quality college for middle-class

Likes

Good and well-spaced campus of the college.
Good placements with high salary packages at reputed companies.
Good, affordable college for engineering, suitable for middle-class students.

Dislikes

Poor WiFi connection at times, when too many people use WiFi at the same time.
Generator works till 11pm only at normal days.
Hostel food needs improvement, lack of quality chefs.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.

if you want to take admission in the college you have to appear for the jee main entrance exam which is conducted by the NTA ,after passing the exam you have to appear for jossa counselling which will be conducted online ,once you get the seat you need to fill the form circulated by the institute ,and you have to appear in the institute for document verification once documents are verified your admission will be confirmed,NTA conduct the jee main entrance twice in a year in the month of january and april...Read More

To take admission in this college the candidate needs to qualify jee mains and register themselves in JOSAA counselling to get a seat.For foreing students DASA is the counseling facility. There are reservations for category but not for female canditate. In a year there are four mid sems each of one hour paper two papers a day which lasts for 3 days.
