IIIT Sonepat review

The course Curriculum is good and i appreciate it. Most of the subjects are related to computer science but i still do not understand why the electronics subject include in syllabus. In the one semester there will be three exams (Mid-sem 1, Mid-sem 2, End-sem). Difficulty level of the exam is depend on the faculty mood.

For the intership many of the student apply for off campus intership. Some of my seniors are getting internship in companies like Google, Microsoft, Zupee etc. Students from 3rd year are eligible for on Campus internship but you can avail it before 3rd year at off campus.

From 6th semester students are eligible for campus placement. Many companies like maq software, accenture, etc visited in which total 64 offers given in 84 eligible students also some students got intership from Microsoft, google etc. Total percentage of student getting placed approx 65% and left some student got placement from off campus and some student go to higher studies. The highest package of this year is 40LPA , average package is 15.9 LPA.

Basically i am in first year therefore i need to pay ?219371 in first year because In the first year some refundable fees (approx ?8000) are also included. In this total fees of 1st year ?90,000 per semester is the tution fees. In my college there is not a single scholorship from college side but there are many private and government scholorship which you can avail them. Many of my classmates have applied for nsp(national scholorship portal) in which they will get in the range of (?60,000 - ? 1,00,000).

Basically there are clubs which in active mode such as IMPACT club, PHOTOGRAPHY club, CODING club. These clubs are in very active mode. I am in the core member of IMPACT club . There's only a one sports fest known as (AGNITO) and nothing else. All classrooms and labs have ac, projector/smart board, mic facility. Labs are well equipped. For intercollege sports competition you can participate in them with your team. Intercollege sports competition are held in different colleges not in my college.

Our room has table, chair, fan, two beds. There are two hostel the old hostel has two seater rooms and new hostel has 8 seater rooms. Yes you read it right, 8 seater rooms because new hostel is not a new building while it's a old academic building which is now converted into hostel and the classrooms are converted into hostel rooms (8 seater). While the hostel facility is not good, there is not a single wifi facility provided by the hostel we have to set our own wifi. We have to pay rupees for using automatic washing machine and the hostel charge for one semester is ?75000. Which is too much costly. If you want you can choose pg facility also.

During the CSAB Counselling i also filled many NITs and some IIITs but at last i got IIIT Sonepat. You can get the admission through JOSAA/CSAB after giving JEE Mains. I choose this college over other because i want CSE branch in a national importance college (IIIT SONEPAT). If you belong to general category then you have to achive rank below 40000 in jee mains.

So the exam patten is like in one semester there will be 3 exams (Mid-semester I, Mid-semester II, End-semester) . All the faculties are highly educated and highly knowledgeable. Many faculties help the student in their projects, in their placements also. Some of the faculties are strict but they all are good.

There is a gym which is not well equipped in the campus also there is not a cafeteria but ya there is a canteen in the campus. There is not a special timing of hostel but you should inform the warden if you want to go outside of the campus. Nightlife is not too much good. There is not a single hangout places inside and outside college. But you can go to Delhi, Kurukshetra etc from Sonipat.
