Remarks
I got admitted through Wbjee exam in 2019. After clearing the exam, I went for the counselling process for this exam and I opted for Techno Main Saltlake which is one of the leading colleges of Kolkata. After 3rd round of counselling, i got Techno Main Saltlake and get the food technology department.
Course Curriculum Overview
Food science and technology is likely to be emerging fields. It has a bright future. After getting into this department I was not then sure about all the things but now I know all the relevance of it. The faculty member is from it, Ju mostly. They are very much helpful. Teaching quality is quite remarkable. Lab assistants are also very knowledgeable and they have good industrial knowledge. The college is makaut affiliated so we have to gove 4 CA at the end of every 1 month of the curriculum. Some CA teachers take assignments and for some, they conduct small, small tests.
Internships Opportunities
Tcs provides internship for it students. If students can able to show good performance they get the PPO also .it's an awesome thing. For food technology students itc, keventers also provide some industrial training.
Placement Experience
It is the most important part of all, the placement. Students can be eligible to sit for placement in the 4th year. Placement senior is quite good but for this covid situation, it got down. TCS is the masa requiter. They take students. There is not any department discrimination for sitting in Tcs. And talking about the food technology there is also good placement. The companies like Itc, nestle, zifo, Varun, ifb came in each year. Highest package are like-15 lakhs(cse), 6lakhs(FT).
Fees and Financial Aid
Honestly speaking the fee structure is a little bit higher than any other private college. Out total fees is around 4.85 lakhs (excluding hostel). But college helps us to get any government sponsored scholarships.
Campus Life
Being one of the leading private colleges in Kolkata, college life is better than any other private college. College's annual tech fest is called EDGE, the 2nd largest among all over Eastern India. Besides tech fest college have cultural fest, sports fest also. There is lots of club in college, and I think samaritans is the best among them all, it is the social club of Techno main Saltlake. The library is not that much large but has a good capacity for old books.
Hostel Facilities
College doesn't provide any hostel. You have to go for a pg or a rented room.it is not a big deal you can get lots of pg, flats near the college. I also took pg in Chingrighata. From Chingrighata college is not much far away.
