Remarks

I applied for many colleges like my score in jee main was good. So I was getting nit Patna. I had no quota I belonged to the general cast. I had to choose between Jadavpur University and nit Patna and I chose Jadavpur University. My college admission criteria were at least 60% on boards. Most of the admission process was online. Only we had to visit the college during the physical verification.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose this course on the basis of my rank. Faculty student ratio is good like for doubts teachers are always there. I feel a bit hard to understand mathematics but ya it's all good. Exams were most on time and the difficulty level was average to medium.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are many internship programmes under various courses under which students get an opportunity to work for various companies like Microsoft, Tata and many more for which they get a salary. Usually, internships are of 2-3 months period. Internships are offered for fields like data science, data analysis. There are various summere internship programmes

Placement Experience

4.5

Likely in the 5th semester students start getting internship offers. There are so many reputed companies that visit every year of placements like Google, Amazon, Microsoft and many other tech giant companies and MNCs. Talking about placements like this year more than 8 students got a package of 45 lacs. there was an average of 8-9 lacs in the electrical branch. In my branch, around 85-90 percent of students get placed to various companies. My plans are basically going for a core job or preparing for the gate after my college degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

Considering it is one of the most affordable colleges in the whole India is the best part of this college. Like which university charges 11000 for the whole course. None other than Jadavpur University. Also, the hostel fee and mess fee are extremely low. Till now I have not applied for any scholarship but yes there are lots of ways available to avail them.

Campus Life

3.5

Since there is a covid lockdown most of the annual fests and tech fest are online and frankly speaking it's tough to replace those offline fests. But they are frequent and targeted on availing many opportunities to students. Speaking of books library is available for which you have to apply for a library card and also the facility of an e-library is available. There are also sports activities on the campus like there is a big cricket ground in the middle of the university.

Campus Placements starts after 6th semester and majorily mass recruiters visit the campus and there are more opportunities for the cor branchs as compared to the non core because of the presence of many industries in the nearby areas. For this year, 12lpa is the highest placement in Commvault but the total placement is only around 50-60%, so my plan is to try getting off campus opportunities by the end of my 3rd year

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally i opted for electrical and electronics instead of the branch of my choice is because my scores were not enough to secure a seat in CSE. But EEE is pretty cool as well for those willing to grow in this branch. Our curriculum exposes us to the rapidly growing sectors in the industry and educates us of all we need to know about the course in depth. If you want to continue ahead in a research field, this Institute is the most supportive. The exam questions are also relevant enough and considering we only need to actually stress over end semesters, its fair enough per semester. It would be better if our professors removed the attendance criteria rest im fine with everything else
