Remarks

I have applied to scottishchurch college, Ashutosh college, Surendra Nath college, and motijheel college apart from Brainware University for Microbiology Courses. For the former two, I did not get a chance for admission, and the latter two I did get a chance but I was already admitted to my university and the infrastructure was very convenient, faculties were helpful, so I opted to stick to this one. I am in a general category so no quota was applied. For admission, I had to go through an entrance examination. I already had over 80% marks so I did not face difficulty in that criteria. The counselor was very helpful and I am so glad to get admitted to this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I have always Biology and nowadays in the middle of the pandemic this field is very necessary, also kind of uncommon. So I have chosen this course. We have enough faculty for students. We have over 15 faculty members in the sole Biotechnology Department. They are all highly qualified, mostly with a doctorate degree and even post-doctorate. They are very resourceful and help us learning. We learn about complicated things with ease. Apart from Semester Exams, we have monthly exams, and also daily viva voce with helping us in thorough learning. We are provided notes and resource books, some of them are really rare. With thorough practice, we are able to secure good marks even in this standard question.

Internships Opportunities

4

In this odd situation, when many people are losing jobs, Brainware University is conducting placement programs with leading companies in various fields. Internships are mainly offered in the industry field. The seniors were really happy about this since they accepted the internships.

Placement Experience

4.5

Students are eligible for campus placements since the 5th semester. Leading companies like Episource and many more had visited the campus. Over 90% of students are already placed. An average salary of 25000 is offered while studying for graduation. But I am opting for higher studies after getting the degree. Counseling sessions for this are also available conducted by faculties.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are very convenient for a normal middle-class family like us. The fees structure is easy to pay. I appreciate this hassle-free method. The original fees were 2,50,000 rs but I was scholarshiped 50,000 rs for my previous marks. There is no stipend structure for graduate students but over 90% of students are placed in leading companies. We are provided placement training since the 3rd semester which is very helpful for our future.

Campus Life

4

I have never been in campus I have heard it is really enjoyable and safe. Carnivals and seminars are often conducted. The library facility is open even in this pandemic situation. We are provided books of our need. The classrooms are large and seemed comfortable. There are many active sport, art, and culture clubs guided by faculty. We are taken to industry visits once in a while. It lightens up our knowledge horizon.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Sc Computer Science Faculty: Student ratio is = 4:23 may vary a bit Faculty are well Qualified & Teaching method is okay good, but not to the mark like very good or excellent. The exam term was timely (sometimes it gets a bit late due to some natural disaster like cyclone, heavy rainfall, etc or any govt. & university delays), and the exam level is nearly too difficult, something like in between moderate to difficult.

I had filled all the forms online. They create an account for you where you get all your admission information. As I had 89% marks, I do not had to give entrance exam and interview. The admission was quite easy for me. I just had to visit the college once and submit the demand draft and some forms, after which the admission was done. I just had to go to the university and attend classes.
