Overall a nice college if you're studious.

Firstly you've to register at the DU website to be eligible to take admission in any DU college (except St. Stephens and Jesus and Mary colleges). I applied for Maitreyi college in the 3rd cutoff when as I had a low percentage my sc quota helped me to get a reputable college from DU. I had 7.9CGPA in best 4 i. e., biology, math, English, chemistry (which was not a good score I know) so I became eligible at 3rd cutoff then I visited the college. But I was few days late so the seats were full and the faculty advised me to apply again as soon as the next cutoff releases. I submitted my 12th report card, school leaving certificate, college form which you'll get at the College only, you'll need passport-size photographs as well. And once you're done filling up the form you'll have to pay your fees at that time only. They will provide you a prospectus and you're an official student of that college.

Okay, so most teachers are perfect there except for a few. They're so dedicated and pay attention to almost all students and make sure the things are getting inside their brain (obviously in physical classes but they try to do the same in online classes as well). And there are 2-semester exams each year (I.e., 6-semester exams for the entire graduation). Each semester exam includes an internal exam where we have to perform practicals, submit assignments, give viva, and maintain our practical file and a theory exam where we need to write 6 question's answers that have multiple parts in 3 hours (in the online mode we're given 4 questions and 3 hours of submission time). It is not that tough to pass an exam, I passed my 2 subjects of the first semester by studying the night before. But if you want to score good you'll need to study more.

Honestly I have very little knowledge about it as I haven't joined any internship till now. But many of my batchmates are doing multiple internships and we're informed about various internships on a WhatsApp group and through teachers and class representatives. These internships provide experience and build up your resume and sometimes they pay you for your work. But most of the time they'll just ask you to promote their projects on your social media which I find very annoying as it shouldn't interfere with my personal space in my opinion.

Honestly, the fees are not much and quite reasonable but as we're attending classes in online mode for the past 1.5 years I don't think we should be paying for anything else than tuition fee as we're not using any of the college resources like canteen, library, garden, electricity, computer labs, etc.

I am a bit introverted so I didn't join any sports club or union or student societies. But there are ample options for students who are interested in extracurricular activities such as dance, music, singing, fashion, painting, photography, eco-club, anti-ragging club, and many more. And there are various sports activities also performed at college such as basketball, football, etc.
