Remarks

I applied for maitreyi college for B.sc life sciences and I got selected in third cut off on the basis of merit. The admission process is conducted smoothly. The admission process includes visiting off-site campus, taking the application form, filling it and the submission is backdated story. The form was collected by professors then there is a fee submission process. So as per my course which is B.sc life sciences the admission fee is 7000. I got selected in the third cut-off as my marks fit with the merit list in the general category. I didn't have any quota. Apart from Maitreyi college, I also applied for other top colleges of Delhi university such as i applied for Guru Nanak Khalsa college of art science and commerce, north campus but unfortunately, my application form got canceled because of some error. I also applied for Shri Venkateshwara college, south campus but in seven cut off and this is too late that's why I withdraw the application form and begin my college life in maitreyi college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

My course is B.sc life sciences I choose this course because of my interest in biology as B.sc life sciences course provide a study of both zoology and botany which is not possible in Zoology Hons. as well as botany Hons and this is the reason why I select this course. Taking about the faculty of my college is satisfying I will not say it is upto the mark but we don't face any problem during admission or in college. The science faculty of maitreyi college is great and the teachers are very friendly. During the admission and afterward they help us in filling the admission form. since it's a girl college, the majority of faculty is female as well. There is a good mix of seniors and junior professors, all of whom are quite friendly and never hold grudges. The teaching is excellent. Talking about the exam it appears two times in a year. The passing marks for the exam are one-third of the total marks. The exam is medium-level all you need is your proper notes given by teachers and library books as well.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are a number of internships opportunities provided by my college. Internships are important for character development. Internships enhance our thinking skills, confidence level also we got a lot of experience which is important for the outside world. Many of internship provided by the college is performance-based and also get paid for good work which is helpful to enhance our confidence as well. There is a number of internships provided by the college related to different fields which mainly depend upon your interests. In general, there are a number of fields such as management, human resources, writing content, debate and many much more you can choose on the basis of your interest In an internship, students are appointed as volunteers, operators, campus ambassadors, etc. Besides this our college also provided summer and winter internships in which students are worked with professors on a particular topic. By this students also gain a lot of knowledge of their interests.

Placement Experience

4

The placement cell of maitreyi college, university of Delhi is good. If we talking about the eligibility criteria and from which year students become eligible for campus placement so it is from the third year onwards. From the starting of the third year students become eligible for campus placement. The placement cell of Maitreyi providing placement and internship opportunities very well. many of the students got high salary packages from high reputed companies. The placement cell is mainly providing a high number of placements for commerce and art students. The qualifying percentage of students getting placement is only 6.5 CGPA. Many highly reputed and successful companies arrive at my college. Students also got high salary packages. Students only get 3 chances for filling application forms of three different companies. No more chances are given by that. So students have to fill the form properly and thoughtfully. There are tier round A B and C and there is division according to this

Fees and Financial Aid

My course is B.sc life sciences, the fees of my course are approximately 7000 and it is increases per year and all the college fees submitted by online as well as offline mode. If we talking about the total fees of my course which is B.sc life sciences is INR 43,830. Also, it is ranked #32 in India today 2021. As it is a government college and comes under Delhi university the college fees of graduation are not so high. A middle-class family can easily pay it. The Placement Cell of our college is very good, and money students got placed. Moreover, they provide many internship opportunities. Even in the pandemic situation, the placement cell of our college is providing jobs and internships opportunities to a student through online mode. Placement is majorly available for arts and commerce students. Summer and winter projects are available for science students, but being in any sort of research work at this early stage is good. There are possibilities for you to get placed with a good salary package

Campus Life

4

The best part of college life is annual fest and tech fest. There is a lot of excitement during the fests. University is not all about education we are here for knowledge skills and experience to help you make your world better thats why i choose this college. Students are encouraged to join music dramatics debate and fine societies. Rhapsody, the annual cultural fest of maitreyi. One of the best fest hosted by Delhi university . The food served is good, but not expensive. Libraries, labs and classrooms are hygienic and well managed. Sports and games are amazing. You will get a chance to complete outside the campus, coaches are supportive. Medical facilities are also good. There are fully furnished classrooms in every department. Wifi is available in college for educational purpose. There are many societies in my colleges which are well known in university. Last year Darshan raval invited as a guest. The surrounding is completely embassy area and it is very fresh clean and safe

Course Curriculum Overview:

Life science includes zoology botany and chemistry considering this combo I think the study material is quite okay in terms of topics chemistry connects school teaching with one step ahead learning . Zoology provides new insights on various topics . Botany covers deeper understanding of syllabus . So overall it's good . Hands on lab work meets the demand of the subject . Also the topics taught match with the type of questions asked in exam. Difficulty level i would say it's moderate for botany and zoology but for chemistry is quite tough. Time management is a much needed skill for examination purpose. For course curriculum i would say more focus on current situation should be laid rather than history .

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.
