Entrance Preview

I have done part time m.tech from DTU. For this they conduct separate exam, interview and B.tech percentage. One must have one year of industrial and teaching experience to apply for the same. DTU is one of the most reputed university in Delhi.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course curriculum is available on net . Subject books are suggested by respective lecturers only. Initially we have to choose our area of research. In second year we need to submit basic model of our research. We have to remain in constant touch with our project guide. In last year we need to dedicate for research project.

Internships Opportunities

For M.tech part time course internship is not required. But regular M.Tech students get stipend of around 8k .

Placement Experience

5

Top companies like google, amazon, renowned MNC come for college placements. They offer a good package starting from 8.0 lac - 60 lac per annum. Nearly all students get placed. But part time students are not allowed to participate in placements as they are already placed.

College Events

5

There were many technical, cultural, management festivals in college. They were organized at large scale. Students in DTU are pretty active when it come to fest , technical, cultural activities. I do not have much time to become part of these events as I have to rush to office as soon as class ends.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is nominal. For part time students I have paid 2.1 lac for complete course and for regular students it is 1.4 lac. Part time M.tech if of 3 years and thus we need to pay more. Regular M.tech is for 2 years so they pay less. But I think fees can be afforded by anyone.

Exam Structure

We have two exams per semester. One is session exam and the other is final exam. Per subject we have 150 marks. 50 for internal and rest for final exam. Regular students have 3 subjects and part time students have 3 subjects for 1st year semesters. So over all exams and labs was not quiet hectic.

Faculty

5

Faculty of college is quiet experience and qualified. Few faculty members are new to teaching But this scenario is same as in every college. There were also a faculty who goes beyond the subject books on the same note there were few faculty who just gave notes and didn't bother to teach the subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Environment engineering is quite easy as compared to other branches and apart from that you can get highly beneficial knowledge related to surrounding pollutants. With respect to improvement there should also be courses related to practical time consideration of how we can reduce the pollutants concentration. Exam occurs 2 times in 6 months but quiz happens on regular basis.

Remarks:

I loved DTU. It is a college which is good in every aspect. Moreover it is in Delhi which adds to its strength and atmosphere. If I would get a chance to choose between IIT or DTU, I would opt for it once again as it is an awesome campus, college with placements matching to the standards of IITs.

Management needs to be shaken from time to time. overall it's an above average college. you will end up with good network, an ambient environment for learning but 75% attendance is a strict criteria.

Remarks:

The campus is known for its unique style of involvement with the socio-political issues. The university carries an extraordinary heritage in terms of producing thinkers. May it be discipline of science or humanities, the eminent personalities are spread across the countries. It's a life changing experience studying here. Faculties are highly qualified, up to date in their field of research. Students can talk to a professor anytime. The course is research oriented, meaning it'll be easier to pursue doctoral research after you complete M. Tech. There are 2 M. Tech courses offered in the upcoming academic session. One is in statistics and data science, the other is in computer science & technology.

Remarks:

College was very good, environment and infrastructure was good, faculty was also OK, i feel the college mostly needs improvement in managing its facilities, the college administration lacks the insights as if they want i feel the college can be best among the colleges in Delhi. Its supported by the state yet the administration is passive and not active.
