Likes

I like the way to teaching of the faculties of iit Delhi
The boys to girls ratio is quite high .It can vary branch to branch
I like the campus of my college as it has decent facilities like gym , playground , canteen etc

Dislikes

The campus of iit delhi is very small and conjusted
There is no hostel facilities for boys for 1 semester .
There are too much classes and labs that we have to attend .

Course Curriculum Overview

I have taken this course to improve my skills in Water resources Enginnering . I want to gain knowledge regarding this field . The course is very interesting to learn and have various opportunities in private sector jobs.

Class Size: 20Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of iit delhi is quite high in comparision to other iits . The tution fees is Rs17000 for 1 semester and the overall fees for 1 semester is Rs38400 . We get a monthly stipened of Rs12400 . So that we can arrange the college fees .This stipened is for all GATE qualified students

Campus Life

There are various clubs regarging dances , sports, music, art etc . There are various fests happening time to time eg RENDEZVOUS (annual cultural fest) . There are mostly books available in the library. There are also various extracurricular activities that are happening in iit such as technical quizes, funs etc

Admission

Firstly This college has single digit nirf ranking which makes me to take admission in this college For admission you have to give GATE exam with a good marks . And then there is a coap counselling in which you have to take part for admission.

Faculty

The marking criteria depends upon various factors such as Assignments, Attendance , Minor testals and Major tests . There are mainly 5 courses in each semester. Hardly anyone fail in the examination. But the faculties are of helping nature . They provides a right direction to students .

Night Life

There are gym available for students in the campus. There are seperate boys and girls hostel . There us no time restrictions in hostels. There are some hangout places such as CCD , staff canteen where we spend night time after dinner .

For M.Tech students our college allow 12 Month intern and companies will start visiting for this from the month of October itself and some companies also offer full time offer. These include companies like Striker, Siemens EDA, NXP Semiconductors, Intel etc. These companies generally offer stypend of around 40-60K and Symens EDA offered full time offer. At the end of the 2nd year almost 90% of the batch is placed and average is around 14 and median around 13.

Placement Experience:

placements are offered on the campus. the last mass recruiter was google and facebook. hcl and microsoft. they hired lot of students and the highest package offered was 30lakh per annum and it was amazing. i was quite amazed. i was offered 15lakh package after bachelors but i wanted to go fot masters and hetr i am.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in power electronics that's why I opted for this course. In different iits they float the different program like in iit kanpur there is power engineering & in iit delhi there are mtech program in power electronics, control, power system etc. Overall on combining all the sub domain of electrical approximately 80-90 gets student got admission in iit delhi in 2022-23. After getting admission, within two month we have to give minor exam & the pattern of exam & time schedule highly attracted me.

Best years of My life!

Placement Experience:

placements are very good and each year the numbers keeps on getting better. In year 2022, 50 students got offer above 1cr. and over a 1000 students got placed in 15 days. The average package goes upto 20 lakhs. Computer science and Electrical departments have the best figure in terms of placements. Mostly companies come for frofiles like Software Developer , Quantitative researcher/ trader, Data scientist/analyst and hardware engineer(VLSI).

My first iit experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

i chose this course as handeling a project in civil engineering seems very intruiging to me. we have 22 students in our class. faculty in iit delhi are highly qualified and the teaching methods adopted are very interactive and interesting. we have to mid semester exam and one final semester exams, the shcedule for which is provided in the beginning of the semester itself.

Remarks:

I.I.T. Delhi is really a student friendly they always take advice from student as well as experts and professors. I.I.T. Delhi community always tries to help each others. I haven't faced any bad aspects throughout my 1 year experience. Our admission starts in the peak of covid, I have submitted my fee payment in the last date 31st July 2020, Registration ends on Sept 17, 2020. Reason that I am here is I.I.T. Delhi is known for world class research in the field of optics and photonics and I am interested in this area of research also there is no other institution in India that can be better than this in this particular area of research.I am happy to share that I.I.T. delhi starts new Department·Optics and Photonics Centre from this year (2021) which creates more scope for students. IIT Delhi is close to my hometown and is ranked no. 2. It offers best faculty in Chemical engineering. IIT Bombay was rejected because of inability of getting a good branch there.
