The course curriculum is upto industry standard and most of faculty members have very good knowledge and teaching skills. The structure of course gives you opportunity to explore in many domains of Electrical Engineering

No internshp available for M.Tech students But if you get one off campus you can request your guide But that means you are on his/her mercy. Or you can work on sponsored projects from industry which can help you build resume.

Placement Experience

placements are very good and each year the numbers keeps on getting better. In year 2022, 50 students got offer above 1cr. and over a 1000 students got placed in 15 days. The average package goes upto 20 lakhs. Computer science and Electrical departments have the best figure in terms of placements. Mostly companies come for frofiles like Software Developer , Quantitative researcher/ trader, Data scientist/analyst and hardware engineer(VLSI).

Fees and Financial Aid

The course structure is excellent But very hectic. Institute conducts Two minor exams and one major exams. But all the subjects have individual projects that helps you build your profile for industry.

Campus Life

The campus is excellent. The atmosphere is lively and energetic! The vibe is Excellent. College campus have many sports and cultural clubs. If you take admission here you will enjoy everymoment spent here!

Hostel Facilities

Hostel has good rooms. First year students live on sharing basis. after that you can get saparate rooms! There is currently shortage of hoste seats in campus due to that during first semester of M.Tech you might have to live outside the campus. Messing facility is very good

Hostel Fee: INR 90000 per year

Admission

GATE score is required for admission in IITs. My gate score was 713 and the cut off for general for year 2022 was 650 gate score in EE paper. you can find application form on IIT Delhi website but first you have to register in COAP with all gate scores.

For M.Tech students our college allow 12 Month intern and companies will start visiting for this from the month of October itself and some companies also offer full time offer. These include companies like Striker, Siemens EDA, NXP Semiconductors, Intel etc. These companies generally offer stypend of around 40-60K and Symens EDA offered full time offer. At the end of the 2nd year almost 90% of the batch is placed and average is around 14 and median around 13.

placements are offered on the campus. the last mass recruiter was google and facebook. hcl and microsoft. they hired lot of students and the highest package offered was 30lakh per annum and it was amazing. i was quite amazed. i was offered 15lakh package after bachelors but i wanted to go fot masters and hetr i am.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in power electronics that's why I opted for this course. In different iits they float the different program like in iit kanpur there is power engineering & in iit delhi there are mtech program in power electronics, control, power system etc. Overall on combining all the sub domain of electrical approximately 80-90 gets student got admission in iit delhi in 2022-23. After getting admission, within two month we have to give minor exam & the pattern of exam & time schedule highly attracted me.

My first iit experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

i chose this course as handeling a project in civil engineering seems very intruiging to me. we have 22 students in our class. faculty in iit delhi are highly qualified and the teaching methods adopted are very interactive and interesting. we have to mid semester exam and one final semester exams, the shcedule for which is provided in the beginning of the semester itself.

Remarks:

I.I.T. Delhi is really a student friendly they always take advice from student as well as experts and professors. I.I.T. Delhi community always tries to help each others. I haven't faced any bad aspects throughout my 1 year experience. Our admission starts in the peak of covid, I have submitted my fee payment in the last date 31st July 2020, Registration ends on Sept 17, 2020. Reason that I am here is I.I.T. Delhi is known for world class research in the field of optics and photonics and I am interested in this area of research also there is no other institution in India that can be better than this in this particular area of research.I am happy to share that I.I.T. delhi starts new Department·Optics and Photonics Centre from this year (2021) which creates more scope for students.
