Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is comprehensive. However, it hasn't been upgraded since a long time ago. Most placement and internship interviews will require you to prepare outside of the curriculum. The exams are mostly wrapped up in 1 week, and its fairly easy to pass.

Internships Opportunities

4

Companies like Microsoft, Adobe and Bain come to campus. The stipend ranges from 10K per month to 100000 per month. The roles are usually in tech, product or consulting. Its a 2-3 month tenure right after the 6th semester.

Placement Experience

4

Students sit for placements in the 7th Semester. The placements are great with companies like Microsoft, Adobe and Facebook coming to campus. The highest package can go up to 80 LPA while the lowest packaged offered in IT was 4.5 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

Annual Tuition Fee Year 1:1,35,000 Year 2: 1,50,000 Year 3: 1,58,000 Year 4: 1,65,000 (These are approximate numbers,as per the fee in 2016. The fee has increased a bit since then) This does not include hostel and mess fee. This usually amounted to around 50,000 per annum

Campus Life

5

Engifest is one of Delhi's biggest college fest, usually held in February. There are over a 100 societies to choose from. The library is huge, so if you like books, that's where you are going to spend most of your time.

Admission

I had to choose between NSUT and DTU. DTU is much more prestigious and has a better campus life. The admission process, in 2016, had 2 stages: JEE Mains and Document Verification. The cutoff for IT in DTU, used to be around 6000 (AIR) to9000 (AIR) in 2016

Faculty

4

1. Faculty-to-Student Ratio was around 1:50 2. Most faculties are friendly and approachable 3. Ms Seba in the IT department is one of the best professors. 4. Exams are fairly easy to pass. 2 exams every semester.

Night Life

4

The nightlife is decent. The area outside the campus is a bit shady. Inside the campus you can go to the night canteen. Students usually roam around in campus late at night, with FIFA and Valo going on in hostel rooms. Till 2020, the legend Maggi baba was also present every night. Not sure if he's still there.

We have to understand and go for training as per the direction of our enhanced cell guidance. Top level companies are the ones that gets along and gives nearly 90% of the students.

Placement offers are not that good, like if you're pursuing other courses than btech so the placement is good but in btech, tech companies don't come that often, so you have to develop your skills during your academics and apply offline for job.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Currently what a job require and what we are being taught in the college, totally different. We have to study separately for preparing job because in our course curriculum, importance skills aren't taught and the frequency of exam throughout the year is too much. We don't get enough time for preparing jobs. We need less frequency of exams throughout the year so that we can prepare for a job.
