Remarks

Since campus is in heart of the north campus Delhi University so we have all the facilities required. Within the campus we have library and one canteen. We have other sports and activities which can be conducted in the campus. Social life is really good. Most of the students get internship offers easily without any issues. Usually every year we had pretty decent placement records. Campus is really small when compared to other colleges. We do not have a dedicated hostel for department of commerce. The admission process is basically through CAT score, then Group discussion (GD) followed by Personal Interview (PI).

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The faculty and curriculum is really good. Faculty are mostly PhD and they have an excellent academic background. In Curriculum basically we have a total 4 semesters unlike colleges which have 3 semesters per year. The exam are conducted as per the duly schedule and the department has the sole discretion over the result and the way how exams are to conducted

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Summer internships are basically with startups and we get a lot more information to learn with startups. So most of the students get internship offers easily without any issues. Stipend for summer internship is around INR 15,000 - INR 20,000 and highest can be INR 30,000 - INR 40,000 for two month period June to july.

Placement Experience

4

Basically placements are of two types, Summer internships and final placements. Summer internships are basically with startups and we get a lot more information to learn with startups. So most of the students get internship offers easily without any issues. For final placements I would say we have really good companies visiting our campus. This year we had citibank, eway, ICICI, newgen and many industry leading companies. But due to the economic crisis this year the process was a bit slow. Usually every year we had pretty decent placement records.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for first year is INR 16,000 and INR 15,000 for second year. There is INR 25,000 to 28,000 for the student body. The student body runs all the committees and all the students driven programs. The money which is left unused after one year is returned back to the students.

Campus Life

4

Social life is really good. There are various events conducted such as alamdinar. We have sports events, symposia. we go for industrial visit trips like Navashiva and hill stations. we also have farewell for seniors and fresher parties for new comers. There is INR 25,000 to 28,000 for the student body. The student body runs all the committees and all the students driven programs. The money which is left unused after one year is returned back to the students.

Hostel Facilities

4

We do not have a dedicated hostel for the department of commerce, It's a common hostel facility for all. Admission to the hostel depends on how early you apply. Hostel fee is really cheap and all the facilities are really good including food and all infrastructure.

Admission

In the group discussion (GD) we were given a topic related to recent events. For me I got a topic related to common code about the government. In the Personal interview (PI), basically I was asked about my academics and why I wanted to join this college and other basic questions. The interview process was not that tough and GD was also normal.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Placement Experience:

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is MSC operations research, which is a very vast and deep course. It goes deep into understanding business operations and providing the businesses with best quality steps. There were real life projects which have helped me alot in understanding difficult topics. If there could be more projects it would have been more helpful for studies. The exams level is moderate to difficult, have to study hard to perform good in tests/exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Campus placements are must here as we may not have higher degrees like other engineering college students. But we are younger and more enthusiastic and also we have the skillsets which has been taught to us at our college. A salary of 30 to 40 thousand is offered to us at the initial placements from our college.
