Remarks

I didn't want the burden of the loan after completing my MBA and as the fee here is very less with the good placement record of the college, I choose this over other colleges that charge a very high fee but the placement record is almost the same as here. The admission process includes giving CAT, filling college forms, appearing for GD and PI.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The faculty and student ratio in this college is very adequate as in every batch there are 7-9 teachers involved in the teaching process apart from the coordinator, etc. The batch size is 72 for us but this year batch size has been increased to 84. Still, we can say that there are enough teachers to look after students and guide everyone.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Yes, the college offers opportunities on campus for summer internships as well. Some of the names of the companies that offer internships are Kora management, Cargill, Bajaj Finance, FICCI, Relaxo, OYO, Future Generali, Ola, Uber, etc. The highest offer for an internship can go upto 2.5 lac for out of India and 1.5 lac for India. The average package offered is 50,000.

Placement Experience

4.5

The campus offers placement and we have a placement committee that is responsible for all the placement activities offered at the campus. Students can sit for final placement when they get into the second year of college. Almost all the students get placed apart from very few who opt out of placement to do something else.

Fees and Financial Aid

As the mentioned earlier fee is very less i.e. 32,000 for the entire course of two years. However, there is no hostel facility at the campus but the common hostel for DU students. If one gets it then the expenses of living also become very less, otherwise PG nearby the college is quite expensive. No financial assistance in terms of the scholarship is provided here. Campus jobs are provided in terms of a summer internship to first-year students and final placement to second-year students.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life starts at 9 a.m. and continues till 5 p.m. generally. The library is open till 8 p.m. so some of us stay there to study or on the ground to discuss other activities. After that college closes so if we need to do case studies or anything else then we need to find a place to discuss things. The good thing is there are many places we can go to as the whole environment near the college is very good for studies. We have clubs which do their own activities they are responsible for.

Interview Experience

4

Yes, GD and PI were thereafter qualifying CAT. NO written test was there for the admission. Topics of the GD and Interview were 60% based on current news, global news. Apart from this interview was related to past experiences and future plans. I prepared for GD and PI with the help of my older cousins and youtube videos.

The university provide both the internship and placements opportunities to the students. For summer internships the companies start visiting the campus after 4-5 months from joining the college and everyone is eligible for that. The 2 month summer internship is mandatory for every student. And for final placements companies visits in the last semester of the course. The highest package for MBA is 23 lakhs and average package is approx 7-8 lakhs. The placements rate is approx 70-80% In terms of ROI college is good.

Curriculum of this college follows almost all the important aspects which are needed to step into the real world of business. In every semester there are two types of subjects. One is practical and the second is theory. In 4th semester their subjects like statistics, managerial economics and financial accounting which will really help us to understand the business world. And in theory subjects like marketing, human resource management, organizational behavior are very important. Study is mainly focused on case study basis which helps how we can apply these concepts in the real problems.

Placement Experience:

The placements of IIFT DELHI are at par with some of the old IIM's like Lucknow, Indore, Kozhikode. Iift is beast when it comes to finance and marketing. Every major international bank and every hedge fund visit the campus for recruitment. Also IIFT caters to some trade companies that only recruit from this college and don't visit any other campus in India. Last year 102 companies visited the campus , the median package was around 26 lakhs and average was around 27 lakhs. Highest package stood at 85 lakhs. And 100 percent placement was achieved. I'll be most probably going for working in a bank or a hedge fund after the degree
