Remarks

The admission process was online through MH-Cet official website. It was a CAP round process. I opted for the OBC quota. I applied for Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute and I got it in the 3rd CAP round. For the OBC quota, the documents requirement was caste certificate, caste validity, income certificate, non-creamy layer, Nationality certificate, scanned copy of photo, and signature. There were charges according to the caste for the registration. 600 for open and 400 for other castes. It is a very easy and simple process.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I wanted to do engineering and VJTI in the best college and I got admission to Textile Strem so I took it and continued with the same stream and it has really very good opportunities but people don't know about it. VJTI faculty is really very nice and very experienced in the domain. They have industry experience as well as teaching experience of min 5 years of every faculty for Textile Department. It is really very nice course to do and exams are conducted every semester and 1 mid-term exam is taken for the academic progress.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The college has very good internship opportunities. It provides the internship experience in the pre-final year. So students get exposure to the industry. I had done Market Research Internship with Filosa Fibres Pvt Ltd for 2 months. We researched about the yarn and fabric market in India and the pricing of the yarn and package in the different regions and what all things affect the pricing of the yarn and fabric in some states of India and which state is involved in which product etc.

Placement Experience

4.5

VJTI has the best placement facility in Mumbai. Students become eligible for placement in their final year, From the 7th semester of the curriculum, students are allowed to sit for the campus placement drive. Companies line siemens, well-spun, Trident, Reliance, Amazon, well from, Citi bank, etc. Visits VJTI for campus drive for various branches. Recently 1 student got placed in Google with a package of 58 LPA which is highest than the IIT Bombay placement package. In Textile highest package is 9 LPA and the average package is 3 LPA. Almost every year 90-100% placement is achieved by the TPO. My plan after my degree is to take a job, work, and earn.

Fees and Financial Aid

VJTI B.Tech Course fee is 84000 for open students and other caste students have fewer fees. OBC has 43000, SC/ST has around 36000, SEBC has around 76000. Every year fees are reduced by around 1000. The college has very good scholarship opportunities. Students can apply for various goverment scholarships, freeships, and other scholarships. If there is any financial problem of the student then alumina helps the student. VJTI has a very good campus placement drive in Mumbai. It has various opportunities for every branch student.

Campus Life

4.5

VJTI has the very old but strongest infrastructure. It is a 130 years old Institute but has developed with time. It has very old machinery which helps students to learn from the base about the machines and compare with the modern industrial machines. It has a very good canteen facility, library facility, hostel facility, very good classrooms, and various types of equipment for various purposes. Every year we have a fest in our college, it has various sports, extracurricular opportunities. The textile department has its own national-level event called Vastra. Where various events are carried out and have a great experience for students to host and take responsibility for the event.
