Remarks
I applied for Delhi University as well as IP University. I chose DU over IP as it is a central university and it provides great exposure to the students. I belong to a general category so no quota benefits were availed by me. Delhi University has a central admission process via the website. For my course, the admission criteria were merit-based i.e. on the basis of marks scored in class 12th. The admission process in Motilal Nehru College (day), Delhi University was smooth. The application was through the cut-off list issued by DU.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose BA prog for my course of graduation as it provides in-depth knowledge on not only one but two disciplines. Furthermore, it provides a wider scope for post-graduation. This year the colleges are functioning in online mode therefore the student-teacher ratio is 1:50. The faculty in the college is well qualified and the teaching method used by the professors is amazing. Due to the currently prevailing covid situation the teachers use to meet, zoom, and other online platforms.
Internships Opportunities
Various prestigious companies visit the college providing internships to the students. companies such as ferns and petals, college dunia, CRY, etc. The roles offered by the companies are diversified and sometimes based on the course one is pursuing. Various roles such as content writing, volunteering, marketing, financial department, etc are provided by the companies.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for internships provided by the college's placement cell from the first semester itself. Placements are provided to the last year's students. I am planning to do a master's in English after completing my graduation.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost to study is really affordable for each and every category in MLNC, DU. I am currently in the second year of my graduation so i have not got to experience the placements provided by the college yet.
Campus Life
Fests are conducted every year. At this time no fests are conducted due to the pandemic. MLNC has a great library fully equipped with air conditioners. Various sports and extracurricular activities are available in the college. Extracurricular activities like theatre society, dance society, music society, NSS, NCC, etc. are available in the college. All the cultural societies like theatre society aadhaar, fashion society bellisimo, etc. and various clubs like desi club, etc are run by the students of the college.
