My College- My Life Experience

Admission was done on merit based or entrance based. I was enrolled in M.Sc. from merit based admission. As I was graduated from Delhi university. So, I preferred merit based admission. I belong to the SC category and it helps me to take admission. I got 76.5% in my graduation. The Delhi university releases merit lists for taking admission. I got admission to the second merit list. The admission procedure includes counselling, documents verification, provisional admission, and final fees submission to confirm the admission. The admission procedure was quite long for masters students as they have to run through both the faculty of science as well as college.

Faculty are soft hearted people, well professional, they guide us on the good path for our future, they are well experienced and teach us in a very unique way for our better understanding. They are our pillars of strength. Their way of teaching is very awesome. The terms exams were held offline in semester 1st and after that, due to covid the rest of three semesters exams were held in online mode i.e., OBE mode but that was very helpful for us as the questions of the exams were asked in a very different way which pushes our mind to think about the topic and answer the question.

There are various internships offered for the students by the teachers and faculty. The labs in the department offered students to work in the lab and learn new things. Also, various companies offer internships for students which also provide stipends to the students which help the students as a part time job to avail their expenses.

From the last semester, students become eligible for the campus placement. There is much company that offer a placement with an annual package for the students. Interviews were held by the companies for the selection of the best candidate for placement. They offer 2 lakh per annum to 3 lakh per annum for the students.

The fees structure of our college is yearly based. We have to pay fees once a year and was paid by net banking or NEFT which was very helpful for us and also it did not take much time for payment. Scholarships like DRDO, inspire, national scholarship, research funding etc are really beneficial for the students especially for students belonging to the SC/ST category whose income sources were not fixed.

The campus life is very good. As the university campus is very big and it has many places to visit. I personally like the fest season very much. Annual fest starting in February which is called the youth festival. The annual fest of Hindu College i.e., MECCA is very awesome and one of the best fest in the university. The student union of the college put much effort into the successful completion of the fest. It was a very amazing experience to see the live concert of singers. The college library was very good with all the facilities. Also, all the journals and books are available for the students. Students were studying in the library from 9 am to 5 pm. All the facilities were provided in the classroom. The college has a sports ground where all kinds of games were played and also many matches were taken place. There were many extracurricular activities were held in the college. All festivals were celebrated especially on 26 January and 15 August. There were many groups and websites run by students.
