I admitted into Depertment of Computer Science and Engineering is this college with a general merit rank of 6935 in WBJEE exam. I belongs form General Catagory. I choose this college because of its good placement percentage. Specially Computer Science Engineering and Textile Technology depertments of this college carries a good placement record.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum of Computer Science and Engineering of this college is very good. so, That's why choose this for persuing my bachelor of technology degree. This college is under the university Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. The faculty members of our collge are very good, well quillified and very friendly. Their teaching methods are very good. We have 10 full time faculty members for 38 students in a class.

Class Size: 38Course Fees: INR 12000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Some companies come and visit our campus form giving internship opportunities. They some stipends to the students. These internships plays a very imortant role during placements. They do so awesome projects during this internship period.

Placement Experience

The placement percentage of our college is very good. TCS, Wipro, Infosys, IBM and lots tech companies visit our campus. Students of the 4th year are eligible for placements. The average is around 4 lakhs for CSE students. and there are many of our stdents who got placed from off-campus placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

As this a government college, the fees structure is very low. Students of Computer Science of Engineering have to pay 6000/- for each semester. Students can also get Scholarships and Financial assistance.

The campus of GCETTB is very nice.It is located cnter of Berhampur town. Connectivity of bus and trains are available their. Campus life is very beautiful. Our college has a very big general libary with lots of books and journals. We have high speed full wifi facility. Cultural life is nice in our college.Our Cultural fest is ALFRESCO. We have music, dancing, photography, coding clubs and many more.

The course curriculum is very relevant and useful for us.They teach data structures algorithm that is very important for college placements and they also teach os, networks and other usefull things that is very important in computer science.They provide very high quality labs and the whole college has a good internet connection.Tecahers are very educated and good they helps us and teaching in very good way .The exams time schedule is also very good if there is any problem the college will change the exam date that is really a good thing.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

placement is very good in this college many tech giants vist the campus such as google microsoft delloite apple tata steels, thhe average package is about 16 lpa highest is 80lpa approx 148 companes visted this year and total offer for cse is 157 out of 190

I applied for AoT in the first counselling but I applied for second counselling and got admitted in this college.
