Remarks

I have applied for all 4 colleges under JAC Delhi and top colleges of IPU. I got selected in Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women(IGDTUW) under the category of OBC. The criteria of taking admission in these colleges are- minimum 60% in aggregate of physics, chemistry, and mathematics and should have passed English and minimum age of the student should be 17 years and upper age limit is 25 years. The admission process was not too difficult as the admission process of all four colleges is managed on one portal which is the JAC Delhi portal. We just have to fill the forms and other necessary documents on time and while filling preferences you should fill according to your percentile in JEE mains.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I had applied for both IT and ECE branches and I got selected in ECE. There are 2-3 sections of each branch and the strength of each section is about 40 students. To be honest, Faculties are very good at teaching and help you every time whenever you need them. They are very supportive and knowledgeable. They also provide you everything likes notes, books pdf, etc. Most of the facilities here have done Ph.D. in their respective fields. As everything is in online mode now, they teach very nicely and in an Understandable manner. In each semester there are two exams. One is mid-term and the other is end-term exams. Questions in exams are not too difficult and not too easy. They only give questions from those topics which they already taught you in the class.

Internships Opportunities

4

On-campus internship starts in the 3rd year of engineering where around 200 top companies like Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, etc visit every year and offer internships to skillful students at every good stipend around 50000-100000. They usually take one or two coding tests and personal interviews for selecting candidates.

Placement Experience

4.5

After the 6th semester (in 4th year) on-campus placements start and around 250 top companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Flipkart, Adobe, TCS, etc. Visit here every year and the packages offered by them were also too good. Almost 95% of students get placed every year. The average package is around 10 lakhs and the highest package varies every year according to the students. This college is too good in terms of job placements so if you get placed here you will keep on succeeding in the coming years.

Fees and Financial Aid

As IGDTW is a government University its fees are less as compared to other colleges under JAC Delhi. I am in my first year and I have paid 10300 rs till now which is not too high. There are numerous scholarship programs on the college's main website and you can apply for them according to their criteria. In the third year we get the opportunity to sit in on-campus internships and in fourth year we sit in on-campus placements. Around 250 companies visit them for on-campus placements and 95% of students got selected by them. The average package is also good.

Campus Life

4.5

It's been a year for me in IGDTUW and my overall experience is too good. The main fest of IGDTUW is TAARANGANA which is held in the month of February. There are many other fests also. There are many societies and clubs also which will give you the best experience in every field and clubs will give you soo many opportunities here. The library has almost all the books related to semester subjects and curriculum. You can issue books from library and you have to return them after 15 days. Seniors are also very supportive and helpful. They will help you in everything related to societies and studies. The overall environment of the classroom is also very nice and friendly. There are many sports and extracurricular activities, you can join their respective societies if you are interested in taking part in them. There is a society "Rise All Foundation" which does social work by collaborating with NGOs and teach small children.

Placement Experience:

Students after completing third year are eligible for placement. Placements start before starting of fourth year, and it requires students to have no backlogs in any subjects. However companies can imply their own rules to filter the students such as minimum CGPA criteria. But placements of our college is one of the best placement for a non-IIT college, despite having so many student intake.

My seniors got placed in the 7th semester and a few in the 6th as well. As per them, the placements are the best compared to all other IPU Colleges. Offers from abroad are too given here. For Computer Related Branch, placements are to 90%. Highest Package has surpassed 1 Cr, and Avg. package is about 8 LPA.

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, average package goes from 5lpa to 10lpa. Highest it has went 84lpa in Amazon so far and can for sure grow in future. 7th semester students become eligible for placement drives and companies like amazon, microsoft, newgen, tcs, ibm, etc are major recruiters here. Around 80% students do get placed but you can definitely be among them by refining your skills and maintaining a good cgpa. I plan to go for off campus placements as well as I'm interested in AI related roles but hoping for even better.

Placement Experience:

The placements are fantastic , many companies like google amazon and FAANG companies come here . Although i cant compare it with top IIT s but still a 25 lakh per annum package in CSE is still remarkable. The placement cell is often influenced by Placement coordinator but then DTU takes action against them and debar them from placements . If one does not get placement in DTU. , the DTU tag will obviously be more than useful in after course placements

Placements begin from 3rd year end and go on for the complete 4th year. Companies like ZS associates, google, amazon, juspay etc have visited the campus in the past. Highest package for the last year was more than 1 crore. Avg package is somewhere between 7-9 lpa. 50-60 % students get placemnt from the college including off campus placements. I plan to either start my masters or join a good job if possible as whatever situation arises at the end of my course at this college.
