Remarks

I could make it to the Maitreyi College University Of Delhi via CW quota. CW quota is only for army brats and the document for the same is issued by Kendriya Sainik Board, RK Puram New Delhi. This document has to be uploaded while filling the registration form of DU. The faculty for Political Science at Maitreyi College is amazing so you can definitely opt for Political Science Hons at Maitreyi College. For getting an idea regarding the cut offs, just go through the previous 3-4 years cut offs of Delhi University and you will get an idea about the range. In general, it usually closes with 92%. Regarding the admission procedure, one has to have a high level of patience for getting admission to Delhi University as it is a pretty much lengthy process. But at the same time, we are provided with various emails and contact details for specific fields like, regarding the registration form, payment details, Nodal Officers of all the colleges and a lot many. So it is feasible with a good patience level.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose Political Science Hons at Maitreyi College because of the faculty er her as they are amazing. Regarding the examination, the first thing is to fill the examination form along with the Rs 1020 for the same. Enough time is provided for completing the assignments and the gap between assignment completion and the exams is enough for one to prepare well for the exams. It is easy to score if one pays attention in the class and complete the assignments based on understanding in the class. Moreover, the best way to prepare is to look analyse the trend of questions of the previous 10 years as this would help you to know the kind of questions that could be asked. And even sometimes questions are repeated so analysing the previous year question papers helps a lot. The faculty is always there to assist us with all of our requirements and solve our problems. They are active during the examination as well so that they can help us in the case of some glitch or network issue.

Internships Opportunities

5

I was glad to find the internships with NGOs. They are usually unpaid but the experience that one gets in exchange is worth it. Nanhe Pakshi and Aasmaan foundation are some of the examples of NGOs associated with internships. One can have an opportunity to work with various dream companies as intern via Maitreyi College.

Placement Experience

0.5

After 4th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Some of the really high profiled companies reach out to Maitreyi College for placements. The package at Maitreyi College is decent. Not really high and not very down but the package over is average.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are various scholarships that are provided by the college and separately by the departments as well. These are provided to the students with the highest scores. Talking about the placement cell of Maitreyi College, it is one of the most active one. There are various whatsapp groups for different streams to facilitate us with latest updates. It is best in keeping us updated with the various internship opportunities. Morover, the coordinators are always available to help us with our queries. The best thing is that they keep sending the opportunity offer till the time deadline is ppassed for registering so that nobody misses onto some opportunity.

Campus Life

4.5

We have both NCC and NSS at Maitreyi College and this is the best thing about Maitreyi. There are various societies as well like fashion society, theatre society, debating society and many more. NCC at Maitreyi College is too good. Being a part of Maitreyi NCC is itself a matter of pride. The motto of NCC : Unity and Discipline is practiced really well here. NSS is also a very active society over here, it comes up with various webinars time to time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .

I specifically chose Economics and history to study because I had an interest in both. Economics is pretty self explanatory, learning about how the world economy works is interesting. History on the other hand is interesting because you get to know how civilization and society developed.

German course has high demands and in germany there are relevant chances that I can get good paying jobs,I would say that the teachers are really nice, if you study well they will help you alot and are really appreciable, I would say there are none to improve because it's kinda easy to study the subject on your own, the difficulty of exams are what it should be like, it's good it's great, to make you a better person and student, and the time duration they give is enough to solve each and every exams
