Remarks

I applied to Panjab University, was shortlisted but had to go for Delhi University. Maitreyi College made it possible. The admission procedure was smoothly conducted and the society members were actually the potential candidates and work for the betterment of the same.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was in B. A (programme) where Economics and English were my majors, 30-35 students were in one session. I choose this course as I did not want a simple BA while BA Programme enables us with choosing two disciplines and other subjects of our own will. The classrooms were more than enough and airy. Every professor of mine had a Doctorate. The exams were not very difficult but like any exam, they demanded sweat and hard work.

Class Size: 35Course Fees: INR 5010 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees were average. But the living cost in Delhi especially in South Delhi was quite high. It could cost 10,000-20,000 per month. I stayed in Satya Niketan, it was cost friendly (10,000)and had every amenity. For a couple of months I even shifted to Anand Niketan, it was costed 18,000 (Three bedroom share). And the basic amenities were provided by the pg owner but for the extra stuff, we had to make a long walk.

Campus Life

There is this annual fest of Maitreyi college named "Rhapsody", I personally have witnessed the greatest stars in our college campus i.e Garry Sandhu (One of the top singers in the Punjabi industry) and Darshan Raval. but along with this greatest fest, there are various other small activities and distinctive departmental fests.

USME DTU Economics Hons review

Placement Experience:

placement and internship fares are regularly conducted on campus where various companies which are mostly start-ups visit to recruit students for internships and entry level roles. Students become eligible for internships from the first year itself. placement opportunities are generally available after the completion of the full degree and only final year. Students are eligible to apply for full-time rules. last during our last internship and placement fair over 20 companies visited and recruited almost 150 candidates.There are no separate records distinguishing internship from placement.The highest package reported for economics honours is around 12 lakhs per annum and the average package is approximately five lakhs per annum.As per my future plans,I intend to pursue a masters degree after completing my undergraduate course.

DTU has a calming effect!

Placement Experience:

For USME, FMCG and Financial companies are the ones which are put in place. The only reason is that those are the companies where we can add value and placements of both courses of USME happens together and combined if I say around 75% students are placed. My plan though is to join GIPE after my graduation ends this year.

DTU USME is as good as it's engineering college.

Placement Experience:

DTU because East campus is more known for USME placements revolve around us. Now core companies of our sectors are the ones that deals with finance, insurance or stocks. So nearly 20-30 companies of that space or sector hires over 100 students of BAE every year.

Placement Experience:

Many companies come as ever since USME has been installed at the east campus the tie-ups with the brands happened before that. So we were etaught accordingly the war corporate wanted us and that is how this has been done with solid precision and thus our placements have never jolted.

There is a placement cell in Hansraj College which does provides placements of highest package around 25 lakh of last year and being median package around 7 lakhs, but this for selective courses like economics and BCom Honours and computer science Honours & few of mathematics honours while rest of the courses required to have different kind of skill sets can also go for placement depending up on the role that the companies bring to be hired for

DTU is Totally Worth Spending Time At!

Placement Experience:

Campus placements have been good from what I have noticed this year. BBA and BAE students get almost the same packages and same companies hire the students. Average package for BAE students is 5.5 Lakhs and for BBA it's a little high at 6 lakhs or so.

Our college has a very active and effective placement cell. Major companies like Goldman Sachs, Bain among many others come on campus for not just placements but also internships. Average and Median packages are between 8 and 10 lakh per annum, with highest packages going up to 25 lakhs. Many also go for postgraduate education, such as MBA after CAT, or to reputed colleges like the DSE for MA.

KM COLLEGE - FILLED WITH COMPLAINTS ?

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .

Maitreyi College is majestic!!

I have applied to aryabhatta College before Maitreyi College for Women. So comparison to this college Maitreyi colleges stands out on various aspects:- Before 2024 the admission process is entirely dependent on merit list and the cutoffs. But from 2024 the admission process changed and now Cuet Exam is mandatory. A valid score of cuet and 12 th class is required.
