Remarks

Intially, I went to ramanujan and took BA program as my college course but i got admission later into CVS. No, I didn't avail any quota. Every year DU releases a cutoff particular to that the stidents are advised to take admission into particular course. Usually the cutoff starts from 92% of 85% ranging into different cut off lists. Admission process was pretty smooth as one needs to carry all the documents and then get it verified.

I chose this particular course because it was an extention to insurance and marketing altogether. It gave me a glimps of marketinga and insurance at once. In my particular course the faculty was around 20 and students were around 50. The teachers were highly qualified and they were great while teaching. There aim was to create a friendly environment with providing the right amount of knowledge There was an internal and external assessment. Internals were done every 3 months whereas there were semester exams every six months.

Class Size: 45Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There were several startup companies for intership and most of them were unpaid but some had some good stipend. It was a great experience as they used to offer good roles and they were amazing. It was usually divided into hr, marketing, content, operations etc.

Placement Experience

Campus placements were eligible from 5th semster onwards. There were many companies approximately 50. Average package was 3,00,000 and the highest package was 6,00,000 Approximately 15% of college students got placements

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure was quite affordable. It was approximately 10,000 every year exclusion of exam fees of 500. There were quite a few scholarships as per the delhi university rules. There was a group for internships and job placements

Campus Life

The college fest was named as Tatva. Other than that, there were several ted talks with celebrities, official freshers and more. Being sitauted in south delhi select city anf various clubs were near by. There were two kinds of societies one for the culturals and other for each and every course.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 4th or 5th semester. Deloitte , Bain & company, PWC ,EY, Grant Thornton (for consulting services) offer the highest package to roles like analyst and accountant. Other companies such as ICICI Bank, Kotak securities , Inshorts , Urban company,HUL, Wipro,ITC hotels , Appollo Hospital etc. the highest package recorded in 2024 was 23.05 LPA and average package as 6 LPA . 85-90% of the eligible students get the placement, the data might vary as some students opt for 4th year for their research work. My plans after getting the degree lie in marketing or consulting field.

Placement Experience:

From the second year people are eligible for internships and placements. Our course and college offers very well placements as compared to other colleges in terms of the industry exposure. My plan is to do the 4- year course and then do a job for 1-2 years then start my own business while pursuing masters degree

I to be honest don't like my course much but it's not too bad also , it does allow you to have a practical exposure along side your studies. As the pressure of syllabus is not much. Teaching methods are not too good also but not bad too. The difficulty level is not much.

Placements are offered in my college from top companies such as accenture, godrej, etc. Placements range from 6-9 lpa on average. Highest package is around 12 lacs but i am not sure. My plans after this degree are doing masters from a good university or working for 2 years.

Consequences after getting admitted in DU

I gave the CUET exams to get my college. CUET exam is basically an entrance test for bachelors degree which eligibles you to all the central universities of India. You have to appear for four domain subjects that you have studied in your class 11th and 12th. You can apply for any course irrespective of it's connection with the subjects that you jave studied earlier. Based on your cuet score you will be eligible for different courses. The cutoff is really high for Delhi University starting from 600 for more most of the courses starting from the lower reputed colleges. You do get reservation benefits. The application form are generally out in the month of April. The exam has nothing to do with your class 12th percentage until you have passed the class. The only demerit I find is the late admission process. By the time you get the results of the exam, other top colleges' admission are done by then....Read More
