Remarks

Good Aspects - 1) Return on investment (provided you get a placement). 2) The curriculum is not that much rigorous so enough time is there to hone your skills apart from just pursuing MBA which might not be a privilege when pursuing MBA from a Tier-1 college.Bad Aspects - 1) You wont get an in depth knowledge of subjects. 2) The course taught is outdated. 3) You might not be lucky enough to get a campus placement.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose to pursue MBA in finance because of my interest towards investment banking and financial services. The qualification of faculties are quite impressive. Some of them are IITians and hold a Phd degree as well. Coming to the structure of the course, the curriculum is outdated. Faculties are helpful and possess good amount of knowledge. But sometimes they are unable to transmit it to the students.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students become eligible for campus placement as soon as they start the second year of their Masters. Few companies visiting the campus usually are TCS, IHS Markit, KPMG, Federal Bank, Indiamart. Highest package offered was like 13 lpa and lowest was 4 lpa. Profiles offered were management trainee, associate consultant, assistant product manager etc. Percentage of the students getting placements are like 40-50%.My personal suggestion, take admission only if you are fine with the idea of not getting a placement after 2 years on campus because not everyone deserving gets a placement on campus.

Campus Life

4.5

Life at campus is truly awesome. This is probably the best aspect of the college. You get to explore enough news things and activities going across the board. The name of the annual fest is Engifest and is conducted in February on a huge scale. Coming to the library, they are having excellent an excellent library furnishing all the books starting from literature to fiction to management and what not. There are n number of societies/clubs in which students can get themselves enrolled as per their underlying interest. Be it finance, HR, Marketing, Public relations, Alumni Club.

DSC placements are not that great as around 30-40% students are placed and that is how it is here. Most students of Political Science go for higher studies or get job opportunities in political consultancy or journalism.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects of the curriculum that influences my decision to choose. This course was for the upcoming government exams as it provide a fundamental knowledge for them and the curriculum prepares it for real World applications do not have any practical knowledge, but it was more focus on academic more theoretical and areas of improvement. In the course curriculum is that I would suggest that it should be more ongoing perspective more realism rather than focusing on the past theory that we have, it should be relevant in contemporary times and the frequency and timing of exam along with my proper difficulty level is high.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of KMC works really well. Many top companies like Deloitte, EY, KPMG, and Wipro visit the campus. It also arranges internships and placement drives, making sure students are ready for jobs. Overall, KMC provides a lively atmosphere and strong career support. From 6th Semester onwards, students can sit for campus placements. The highest package was upwards of ?30 LPA and the average package is around ?6-8 LPA. Our course saw a similar average package and the highest package was ?23 LPA. Around 30% of the previous batch was placed with the rest going for higher education and other job or entrance examinations. After getting my degree, I plan to go for higher education in statistics or economics. And beyond that I have made up my mind that I want to appear for the UPSC Civil Services Examination and RBI Grade B Officer examination.

For placements, there's not much on campus placement programs. Our placement cells are active though. Time to time they keep us posted about the upcoming internship or job opportunities and even invite various organisations for placements. You can even look for off campus placement programs and teachers are very helpful in this. They even offer letter of recommendation for the internship opportunities upon request.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love the course I have opted for in the College. I had so much interest in literature since I was in school, hence made the decision to opt for English Honours in my undergraduate degree. The curriculum of this particular course is easy to get, teaches practical knowledge. We have Internal Assesment and Continuous Assessment before theory exams. In continuous assessment, we are given some topic to make presentation or a group discussion from our sense of knowledge and experience. Speaking up in a crowd and in front of the whole class gives the practical knowledge of being there, present, confidence and speak up your thoughts I would love if we can also watch theatre within the curriculum as we read various plays but watching and analysing them would be great. Mostly the exams are held in December and May, they are moderate level of examination and I have found absolute no difficulty sitting in them and writing. We get 3 hours for the core subjects, and 1 hour for our respective VACs, SECs and AECs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BBA course curriculum at Maharaja Surajmal College is quite well structured and covers a good balance of theoretical and practical aspects of business studies. The subjects are relevant to the current industry standards and help in building a strong foundation for management and corporate roles. The curriculum also gives exposure to areas like marketing, finance, and human resource management which prepares students for real-world applications as well as for higher studies like MBA. However, it could include more practical training, internships, and industry interactions to make learning more experiential. The exams are conducted on time and are of moderate difficulty, focusing more on conceptual understanding rather than rote learning. Overall, the curriculum is comprehensive and relevant, though slight improvements in practical exposure would make it even better.
