What Students Say
Likes
- College with sense of style and sence of civic sense. Both are in abundance here as
- Students are mostly teenager so one thing that we are taught here is how to be Chad kr Sigma in this competitive world.
- Suddenly after 10th going such tough is not easy as course is lengthy plus very tough and new to us but teaching is such that it doesn't affect us.
Dislikes
- Even though it's Co-ed, 90% of students are boys and I hope the thing turn around soon.
Course Curriculum Overview
I didn't felt like doing HSC as two years there and then engineering which again takes off much higher than that of 12th. Yes I want to do engineering but after studying what engineering is and that can happen only in Diploma course. Our course is mini engineering and it has the potential to make engineering studies of B.Tech look really easy.
Internships Opportunities
Many government companies or civil bodies of Delhi Government are the ones that offers us internships. They are lovely as a teenaged boy going to the site and getting a hand on experience of real world is no short of a miracle.
Placement Experience
L&T to Government companies which have interest in civil works come to our college for junior roles. Sone roles which are equally important in civil companies but B.Tech students because they feel lesser, our course students become handy choice for such companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
PIT (Pusa Institute of Technology) is Asia's largest college for ITI and still the fees is such which most ears will hesitate to believe. Yes, it's 8k a semester and 16k per semester. My batchmates fees for SC/ST students is just 3500 or so. Merit scholarship is also there for students who are top 5 in Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University.
Campus Life
Campus is small and therefore just a volleyball court is there. However there's a closed dome and below that there's ample space and we could play some athletics there. There are 6-8 labs though and a small library too. Fests and all aren't there as most students pass out from here while they are still the teen aged people.
Admission
It's an entrance exam compulsory for diploma admissions. They happens in February after the boards and in a month's time there are results. As per score the streams are given as Automobile and Mechanical are the most expansive ones. Civil comes below them and because my score was less, I settled for Civil otherwise I also wanted automobile engineering.
Faculty
I rate any faculty on the basis of how do they treat students and how approachable are they. Luckily we could approach them just like we approach our friends, so on this front it's 10 in 10. Now coming to the point of their teaching it's again such that one can't take down a single number and therefore 10 on 10 there too.
Night Life
Our college is in a hosh posh area of New Delhi which is Karol Bagh. So, if one wants to know the hangout places there, they are in abundance. Yes, it's the most safe place in Delhi as one will find traffic and all close to our college at any point in time.
