Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate the course curriculum as reasonably comprehensive and moderately relevant to current industry and academic expectations. One of the major reasons I chose this course was its balanced focus on theoretical foundations and practical exposure. The inclusion of project-based learning, lab components, and elective subjects in the later semesters played a significant role in my decision, as they allowed students to explore specialized domains based on their interests. The curriculum does a fair job of preparing students for real-world applications—especially through mandatory internships, industry-oriented projects, and seminars. Many assignments require hands-on problem-solving, research, and teamwork, which are valuable beyond classroom learning. For students interested in higher studies, the strong emphasis on fundamentals, analytical skills, and research helps in competitive exams and postgraduate programs.
Internships Opportunities
Intern path at DSEU CSE was fair and open. Cell set link with firm and NGO. Pup can try from sem 4. Main run was in sem 6. Firm that came for intern: TCS, HCL, Wipro, LT, Capg, Zoho, Byju, Jaro, Chegg, NextGen, SkyNet, CodeUp, DevIn. Role: code aid, web aid, app aid, data aid, test aid, net aid, and tech aid. Most gave 8k to 15k per mo. Top give was 18k in one case.
Placement Experience
Plac at DSEU CSE is fair to good. Pup can try for plac from sem 6. Some try in sem 5 for intern. Firm that came: TCS, Wipro, HCL, LT, Capg, Infosys. Few new firm too, like Zoho, Byju, Jaro, Chegg. Core code role and test eng role were key. Data role too. Deal count was fair. Some got more than one deal. In my set near 65% got deal till now. More deal come in last phase.
Fees and Financial Aid
> In the first year, the total fee was ?1,35,000 including ?1,00,000 tuition fee, ?25,000 development fee, ?5,000 registration and ?5,000 exam fee. A refundable caution deposit of ?10,000 was charged only in the first year. Fees for SC/ST students was around ?45,000 lesser due to government-funded tuition support… etc.
Campus Life
Life on the site was fun and warm. Folk were kind and easy to bond. Mix of zone and kin made the vibe open and free. I made pals fast due to club and team task. Main fest was Udaan in Mar. Tech fest was TechSpire in Oct. Both had code war, art run, sing act, band act, quiz, game, talk, and show. Crowd was huge, hype was top.
Admission
I took DSEU CSE due to key gain for my path. The fee was fair. Low fee gave less load on kin fund. Many top inst ask high fee. That was hard for me. DSEU had sane rate and good CSE path. I had call mail from two more inst. One was a mid rank pvt inst. High fee. Low link with firm. Next was far from home. Host fee was high too. So I said no.
Faculty
The college has a balanced faculty-to-student ratio of around 1:20, which allows students to get personalized academic support. Most faculty members are approachable, especially during lab sessions and project work, although outside class hours it sometimes becomes difficult to schedule time due to their research or administrative responsibilities. The faculty–student relationship is healthy, and students can freely clarify questions or seek guidance for internships and projects. The course structure follows a semester system and includes both theoretical and practical subjects. The curriculum is updated every 2–3 years to align with industry requirements, but certain subjects still feel outdated and need more real-world applications. Each semester typically includes two internal assessments and one final exam, along with lab evaluations and assignments. The marking scheme is usually 60% end-semester examination and 40% internal assessments. Exams are moderately difficult; students who regularly attend lectures rarely fail, but around 5–10% struggle
Night Life
Night life near site was calm and safe. No wild vibe, but chill and fun. Folk stay out till 9 or 10 pm in crew. Gym shut at 7 pm. Cafe shut at 8 pm. Lib shut at 7 pm. Yard shut at 8 pm. Hall shut at 6 pm. Wi-Fi on all day. Host in time was 9 pm for boy and 8:30 pm for girl. Gate shut at that time. Late pass was hard. In eve we sit in quad or yard. Talk, tea, and jam. Some play ball or run. Some do TT and do fit work. Lab open till 7 pm, so code till then.
