Likes
- Jamia has seperate library for each department and also some common libraries like Dr Zakir Hussain central library which is the biggest library of Jamia and has all types of books.
- Common room for self study with availablity of wifi 24x7.
- Polytechnic building is awesome and jamia location .
Dislikes
- In sports complex as a student you can't play cricket in the stadium. It is reserved for official players.
- You can't use lift of polytechnic building. It is reserved for teachers.
- 75% attendance is compulsory for all students other wise university will not allow to appear in exams
Course Curriculum Overview
As diploma in engineering is industry based course which make us industry ready in 3yr. The course is focused on practical knowledge over theory. Workshop classes held once a week which can be improved by making 2times a week. In Each 2.5 month seasonal exam are held timely.
Placement Experience
University of polytechnic has its own placement cell which offers on campus placement but the ratio is not satisfying. From 5and 6 th sem students are eligible for placements. Companies like vipro,l&t? tcs, voltas , tata motors etc visits. Average package for polytechnic is around 4 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee for the diploma course in Jamia is decreasing And for 1st year 9645rs, 2nd year 8000 rs, and for final year it is 7000 only. Fee is same for everyone and it includes everything. Jamia also provide scholarship for polytechnic to meritorious students. The name of scholarship is AAJMI. Around 10000 is provided to students who qualify the interview for scholarship.
Campus Life
The overall experience at Jamia Millia Islamia is awesome. Different fest held in Jamia. Each yr 0n 29oct jamia celebrates its foundation day . Dr Zakir Hussain central library has a variety of books which you can borrow for several weeks for self study. Also Jamia has a ragging free environment.
Admission
I have choosed only Jamia milia islamia. As it is ranked 3rd university in India and it is located in delhi which provides different oppertunity. The admission process to diploma course is through its entrance test.
Faculty
Our class has strength of 72 students. One teacher teaches at a time. All the faculty are highly qualified and dedicated to the students. Also they are kind and helpful. The faculty of physics in my class is awesome his name is Dr Shaan Ameer sir he teaches with full energy and dedication. This course is of 3years and semester based. Each yr has 2 sem.
