Course Curriculum Overview

4

I was interested in the subject economics so i opted it for my graduation. The curriculum teaches us with some real life example so it becomes a little easy to understand it, the thing that can be improved is just using a little more real life examples so the students have clarity in topic.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are some internship opportunities available. There's a specific society in our college to make students ready for it (placement cell). Companies like Paytm approaches to the college to get some interns.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of my course in my category was around 14-15k, it included every type of fees as tution, caution, admission, etc. the fees of my batchmates was almost the same as mine and I didn't apply for any scholarship.

Campus Life

3

I've got a very neutral opinion about the campus of Deshbandhu. It's small, got no ground or even a wide park/garden, but the science block of deshbandhu is pretty good, it got good classrooms, washroom facility, etc. there are only few sports in the college, there's no football/cricket ground or a basketball court too, but still the rest of the sports are available if you're interested in it.

Admission

I didn't apply for any other University but DU. I really wanted to get admission in there, I filled up my preference sheet very strategically and got admission in here. The admission process of getting in DU is quite simple, you just have to appear is CUET exam and pass the merit of the colleges.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is a little low, like a teacher is teaching a class of approximately 70-80 students so that thing can be improved, but the faculty is highly educated and supportive. There are only 1-2 class test throughout the semester with 1-2 assignments, viva, presentation and then the final exam.

Night Life

4

The location of the college is the thing i like the most about it, it's surrounded by local vendors, cafes, small restaurants, so the students can walk around there and chill if they want. I don't know about the night life of the college because I'm from a different place from there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is something that can have improvements. For example I am studying C++ in my computer minor class which is becoming less and less relavent as compared to a lamguage like python. Alot of job prospects require students to know a language like R so I feel things like that should be taught so that the course cam make a student more real world ready.

My course is on a difficult side . There are subjects like statistics and maths which are too practical and hard . But this opens my mind towards practical approaches. Moreover the demand for this course is much more then its related courses like bcom and bba.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course requires a lot of analytical and logical thinking. The scope is quite wide in my course without having any professional degree too like research, analytics, finance manager etc. This course gives opportunity to gain applied skills and as we are dealing with quantitaive aspects our statistics also gets better with time. Few improvements which i would like suggest are that their should more practical and real life knowledge, currently it is very theoritically heavy. Teaching online softwares must be compulsoury so that we remain updated with technology.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is essential to guide teachers in what to teach, how much depth of knowledge is needed for that grade, and a a timeline to follow so the year will be completed. Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information rather than the information itself. I wouldn’t eliminate content, without background we cannot form good, rational, and educated conclusions. We are still giving timed tests in math facts! I know that’s traditional, but it just isn’t as important.
