Entrance Preview
I had given both WBJEE(West Bengal joint entrance exam) and JEE which is the all India joint. I got selected for the college through my WBJEE rank. I achieved a rank of 33000 in general and 10,602 in TFW (tuition fee waiver). I always had a catch on computer science as i already did computer science while i was in class XI and XII.
Course Curriculum Overview
I personally feel what makes this college different from well established colleges like IIT's, NIT's etc. is that its course content. All the core and well important topic and touched very late in the course duration. Also many unnecessary topic are which according to me is a waste of time, instead of that the prime concern should be focusing on the latest technology and making students aware of the latest buzz going in the market.
Internships Opportunities
Yes our college do offer internship. As per recently heard details as many as 10 company visited out college for placement purpose and till now 22/60 students got placed in our senior batch. Strong companies like Tech mahindra, infosys also visits our college, also many startup and new companies also visit for interviewing young aspirants.
College Events
The events are not that famous in our college though, but its worth your time. Freshers, fest both cultural and technical takes places regularly and its quite a lot of fun. Dance, songs drama many things are organised which brings out the cultural talent of our college. Also other miscellaneous programs also takes place like interview counselling, motivational speech etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure will be definately on the higher side as it is a Private engineering college. Total academic expenses of the college is almost 4 lakhs for 4 years. Other expenses will depend from person to person. But one thin is that which according to me is a nice feature is that students are given extension for fees submission and no will know about it.
Fees and Financial Aid
College will not provide any loan facility but it will cooperate with proper documents if want to avail other bank loans. For a live example, i myself is studying with a an education loan form SBI. The initiation process in quite lengthy but after that it is smooth enough fro students to not complain about the bank.
Campus Life
The campus life has a mixed bag of emotions. It is always said that college life is the best life one ever has. its true. Also you need to grab the education provided by the college, you just cant complain form outside that the college is not offering proper education. As per gender ratio is taken into consideration it depends from stream to stream , streams like CSE and ECE will fillled with girls whereas civil and mechanical will have boys on the charge.
Exam Structure
The exam structure was a bit loose till the 4th semester as teachers did not really cared about how the students are given the exams. Many papers were not even revealed so students doing hard work for the exam had to bite some dust of disappointment. But yeah, the lab procedure are very nice and it stretches nicely with the time schedule.
