Remarks

I initially applied for Kalindi College. Since it was a noncampus college, I shifted to Maitreyi after clearing the merit. As I opted for BSc. (Hons.) Mathematics, the admission criteria was through the merit of an average of best four scored in twelfth standard. It was mandatory to include mathematics and one language in the best four. There is no age bar for admission. The admission process was simple. (1) Register on DU Official website (2) Check cut-offs and in whichever college you clear the merit, take an application printout of that college. (3) Reach college with all the documents required for admission and that application. (4) Payment of the fees is online As I got enrolled in 2017, so the procedure was offline but this year it's going to be online and I don't have experience with that in the case of Delhi University. I can tell you the online admission procedure for Amity University.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this course because mathematics had been of my interest. As 39 students were there in my class, so there was no rush and hustle in anything. Teachers were either doctorate or pursuing their doctorate. Since it was a girls' college, so the faculty had been extremely kind and soft-hearted. Their teaching method was also good and efficient. We used to have regular class tests and vivas. Internals were taken only once a semester. Exams are easy to pass. You just need to be focused at the time of examinations and you will pass the exams with decent grades.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

In the internship fair, many companies like limeroad , zomato etc and NGOs offer internships to the students. Many students apply as to content writers and social media managers. In the internship fair, students are first asked to prepare a CV and then they are required to be present for the interview being taken by the employee of the company. Then, they provide a list for the selected students to the placement cell.

Placement Experience

4.5

From the third semester, students become eligible for campus placement. E&Y , Microsoft, and many others offer decent no. of jobs to the students As I heard in my third year that one girl from BCom (Hons.) got the highest package of approx. 11 lakhs per annum and probably the lowest package was 2.5 Lakhs per annum Out of those who sit for the placement, 80% get the placement. I am pursuing Post graduation from Amity University

Fees and Financial Aid

Maitreyi College is funded by many organizations , so the fees for the student is very low. It's probably the third or fourth college in the University to have the lowest fees. It gives permissions and assistance to apply for scholarships but does not provide them. It organizes an internship fair where the students are given the opportunity to apply to more than 50-100 companies and NGOs. The campus placement is also decent. Few students get really good packages and the majority sat for an average of 2.5 to 3 Lakhs. I did not sit for the placement but I have worked with the placement cell.

Campus Life

5

Rhapsody is our annual fest which became a sensation in 2020 University fests. On average, it gathers crowds between 9000 - 15000. Avghaan is the tech fest and the activities are organized by many departments. All the syllabus books are available in the library and other references can also be found. There are many societies in the college like dance, drama, fashion, music etc. which go to other colleges to perform and they actually are really good in their field. Achievement Cell and Humans of Maitreyi are two platforms that are founded and run by students
