Remarks

The Admission process is very good our beloved faculties are very good at behavior. I don't think I availed of any quota for admission. My department is mechanical engineering main criteria are about students' personal interests in which department they want to join but a good rank in WBJEE is required for any department. Age should be 18+. The admission process is easy all notice is provided by the University and college so don't take extra tension. Just arrived at your destination at right time.

Course Curriculum Overview

I'm interested in marine engineering but here is the problem my PCM Mark is below 60% so I have one way to do this study first mechanical engineering then the GME course. All faculty mean mechanical department faculty are all good. Basically, they show their way. The main thing is that We have to read then pass or not failed. But they do their work.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 6000 per year

Internships Opportunities

No one companies provide us any internship. Any role for their companies. My finals project is a box filling system using plc programming. Now we have to complete our design in AutoCAD.

Placement Experience

After the 6th-semester students are eligible for campus placement. Most of the students get their job by offline campus placement. CSE department students are getting their job most annual package is 15 lakh. After getting my degree, I'm going to do GME.

Fees and Financial Aid

As government college fees are okay but problematic for some of the students. The scholarship name is oasis which is provided by the WB government. Financial assistance is not available in government college maybe I'm in 3rd year and also it's corona pandemic time so no campusing yet for industrial departments.

Campus Life

Books are missing in the library, all over is good. The classroom is available for all of the students. Football is the most important in our college. Social groups are visible many like Mechautsab ajantrik and also tech fest.

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . 7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
