Here is a feedback from Maitreyian

I applied for the University of Delhi and here the admission process is through the cut-off. So as my best four percentage was 90% so I got Maitreyi College which is very good for history subject. I don't have any kind of quota. The admission criteria for my course is mainly the cut-off. The college releases cut off percentage and those who are eligible can apply for the college through an online portal. At first, you have to fill the form of Delhi University and then you have to wait for the cut off to release. Once the cut off is released you have to apply for that respective college where you are eligible through your registered portal and after the verification from their side, you will have to pay the fees. The admission process is very simple and completely online. The help desk of Delhi University is so active. So if you get any issue or query you can simply call them or mail them.

I am interested in Humanities and I want to go for Civil services in the future that's why I chose this subject and also the history department of Maitreyi College is one of the best departments in DU. So this was also the reason. We have a total of 140 students in my history class and 100 in my political science class. As we all know the faculty of DU is the best and experienced. Every teacher holds PhD degree at least with minimum of 3 years of teaching experience.Maximum professors have completed their higher studies from JNU or DU itself. Some of our professors have published their own books also which are bestselling in the market. Their teaching method is very good. They clear all our doubts. And the faculty here are genuinely cooperative. They will help with all your problems and assignments. They will guide you in your life as well. And one of the best things about Maitreyi is that it provides a personal mentor whom you can ask anything at any time. The exams were always held on time.

Companies like Tutedude, EduMentor, Bachat Baazi, Get work and many other provides internship in our college. Also, our college has many short term courses which you can do, various language courses. They offer roles like digital marketing, finance handling, IT intern, teaching intern, campus ambassador, business development intern and many other. One thing I would like to add is that our faculty as well the students and seniors of this college are so cooperative and so helpful.

From the 5th semester, you are eligible for placement. And the college will help you a lot in getting good placements. I haven't reached that semester. The highest average salary offered is 5 LPA I think. I want to go for Civil services after completing my degree and also for masters from DU or JNU. Most of the students get placements.

My college fees are only Rs 6980 yearly. This is a very minimal fee and also the college provides freeship to the financially weak students. In the freeship, you will get your college fees refund. And there are many scholarships for SC/ST category students. Even the form fees are less for these categories. Our placement cell is so active and they got very good companies for us to give us internships and the internships are also very good. I got to do 5 internships with a good stipend in just one year.

Our annual fest is called Rhapsody. Our fest is amazing and the best. Our college garden is famous all over DU. There are many fests organised in our college. A placement fest is also organised. Our library contains a lot of books. Sports and NCC are very active in our college. There any many college societies like trenchant the debating society, zeal the dance society and so on. Film society, music society, classical dance society, fashion society everything. Galore the fashion society and Zeal the dance society of our college is famous all over the DU.
