Remarks

I had applied to KNC as well. But I chose DRC because it had a more welcoming environment. The admission cut-off differs every year. I got admitted at 93.5 without any quota. The counseling was very smooth and the teachers and volunteers were very, very helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was chronological as per the history of English Literature and covered British, Indian, and American literature as core papers. We also had the option to explore literature in more languages through Optional courses. Faculty was one of the best in my time both in terms of qualifications and dealing with the students (I don't know about the present time, but I hope it is still very good). The departmental environment is very homely and familial. Exams happened on time. It used to be moderate level if we have studied.

Internships Opportunities

An intenrship fair is conducting every year. So you can participate in that and explore more. You mostly have to fill out forms and give a short interview or test and then you will be further contacted. A lot of companies come in the fair and it is very well managed by the Placement Cell of DRC.

Placement Experience

A lot of my friends had applied for placement, I hadn't so I don't know much about it. However, after completing your degree in English. You can apply for jobs in any publication house as a fresher and then work your way up.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is fine. affordable by middle strata of people. Scholarships are available but I do not know much about them. I am not the right person to answer this as I didn't opt for any of the above.

Campus Life

Annual fest is Manjari. It is amazing. Nice time to be with your friends. It is conducting in Feb or March. Library should be explored. It has AC and a relaxing place to read. Some classrooms have ACs, others don't. Sometimes it becomes humid. But that is okay, you don't mind it that much. There are a lot of clubs to join. And you can even make your own club or cell. Example: Dance Society, DramSoc, MusicSoc, NSS, NCC, Sports, Environmental Club etc. Etc.

KM COLLEGE - FILLED WITH COMPLAINTS ?

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .

Placement Experience:

SRCC has one of the best campuses and our basketball court is so famous that many movies too have been promoted and shot there. Our campus is big too and our auditorium is such that many top personalities have come and spoken there. Even leaders like Barrack Obama too had an interaction with SRCC students in an open air event.

Insights into DRC

After appearing for CUET UG, we make preferences of the desired college and on the basis on the CUET score, colleges are alloted. So, Daulat Ram College was my 7th preference and I was alloted this as per my category and cut off I cleaned. Although it was 7th preferred college, I have no regret of getting into it. Good internship opportunities

The admission process till last year in University of Delhi was on the basis of 12th std marks, but from this new session(2022-2023) there is an entrance test CUET. The eligibility for the same was the student must've cleared 12th board exams and the application form was available on NTA official site. People with reservations(SC, ST, OBC etc..) do get a lot of benefits like for them the marks are less for getting a good college as compared to non- reservation seats.
