Remarks
So, like every other student, I applied to the University of Delhi. The reason I chose this college was the fact that it is situated in the North campus. Also, because it's a girl's College, I thought I'd get much more opportunities to Excel at my talents than in a co-ed setup. The admission process was very smooth for me, our seniors helped us with everything and were super friendly. They made us feel comfortable. And as I was a quota student, I was supposed to attach a caste certificate with all the other documents. But other than that, my process was no different than anyone else. And I'm happy that I'm a part of this institute and not any other.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as I was interested in political science since school. The faculty of our department is one of the best in the college. They are rightly qualified and well-behaved. The teaching method, if not interrupted by the pandemic, is absolutely flawless. Daulat Ram College is very serious about exams though. They are taken at regular intervals, despite everything though they are not so difficult to pass.
Internships Opportunities
During the first placement cell fest, we got our CVs made so more than 30 companies could interview us for internships. I don't think it's a small number. Also, if you are consistent and interested in working you can bring a lot out of this setup for your growth.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee p.a. for my course is 14,500/- though it rarely varies across different courses. I think our college provides scholarships and financial assistance but as I've never taken one, I'm not eligible to say anything about it.
Campus Life
So, the Annual fest is not the best at Delhi University but it's definitely worth attending. Students from other colleges come to attend our various fests such as the Diwali Mela throughout the year. Our Diwali Mela is one of the best. There are various societies to be a part of. Each one of them has a good crowd, so you won't feel uncomfortable at all. I myself am a part of the debating society. And I find the workings of that student association very organized as well as enlightening.
