Remarks

I got admission through the online mode. In the starting, I was a little nervous but that was very easy. I applied for all the colleges and I got admission to one of the prestigious college of Delhi University. At my time the admission was based on cut off. The faculty of the college is very hardworking.

Course Curriculum Overview

The exams are semester based and to pass the test we need to be extremely focused. Teachers do their best to teach. A teacher for 70 students is the ratio of student and teacher. I do choose this course because it has a vast scope and in my secondary studies, I was interested in history.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 15860 per year

Placement Experience

College provides different internship. It has a placement cell. Major recruiters are Wipro, Genpact, HDFC life, Capital IQ, Ernest and Young, KPMG with 90% placement and 100% internship opportunities both paid and non paid the highest package 11 lakhs with 75+ offer letters.

Fees and Financial Aid

Daulat Ram College is a college on the North campus which is a dream of every student. And History Honours cost 16000 in the first year. I feel that it is somehow affordable.

Campus Life

The campus is very fascinating with 18 departments across three streams. Lecture classes with LCD projectors, wifi equipped laboratories and classes. College is leading in both co-curricular activities and education. It has NCC, NSS, and NSO. There are unions, councils, societies, clubs and calls. The College library has 1,15,000 titles and subscriptions to many journals. The college boasts of a modern auditorium named SadbhavanaBhawan.The college has well equipped and well-managed laboratories for all the science courses. The college has well-equipped computer labs. It has an Amphitheatre (Rangshala)medical room with an attendant nurse and first aid facilities, a college canteen, the college has banking facilities on its premises.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .

Placement Experience:

SRCC has one of the best campuses and our basketball court is so famous that many movies too have been promoted and shot there. Our campus is big too and our auditorium is such that many top personalities have come and spoken there. Even leaders like Barrack Obama too had an interaction with SRCC students in an open air event.

Insights into DRC

After appearing for CUET UG, we make preferences of the desired college and on the basis on the CUET score, colleges are alloted. So, Daulat Ram College was my 7th preference and I was alloted this as per my category and cut off I cleaned. Although it was 7th preferred college, I have no regret of getting into it. Good internship opportunities

The admission process till last year in University of Delhi was on the basis of 12th std marks, but from this new session(2022-2023) there is an entrance test CUET. The eligibility for the same was the student must've cleared 12th board exams and the application form was available on NTA official site. People with reservations(SC, ST, OBC etc..) do get a lot of benefits like for them the marks are less for getting a good college as compared to non- reservation seats.
