One of the best Automobile Engineering College in Kolkata

I had first applied to the Malda Institute of technology. I was not admitted to that College because it will be a far distance from my home. I chose that college because it is a government college. And secondly, I applied to Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Degree Engineering College. I chose that college because it was more rating and the best automobile engineering college than Malda Institute of Technology. I had not availed of any quota for admission. I have given Jexpo Exam. The admission Criteria in our college is you should be 10th pass student and your marks should be above 45% in physics Chemistry and Mathematics. The admission process of this college is very smooth and it provides us with details of the counseling day. When my name came in our college they called me and ask me to bring my Jexpo Ranking Result,6 copy photos of me, Andhra Card Xerox and also the original one, My Birth Certificate,10th board exam results,12th board exam Result, Jexpo Admit card, and Demanddraft, admitted in the college.

I was always wanted to be an automobile engineer as I am always interested to know about cars and car body parts assemblying and engines. Thus, I chose automobile Engineering as my career. Sur Institute of Technology and Sports Complex is acclaimed as one of the best Automobile Engineering colleges. College faculties are so good. They always help the students in all difficult situations. They support it completely. They teach well. Here all professors achieved their Ph.D. degrees. The faculty-student ratio is near about 1:20.#Advanced machines and equipment are available in every department. Smart Classes were provided for easy learning. And practical labs are also well managed. Online classes are also taken regularly and all the students have to attend all the classes from 10:10 to 5:50. Our college gives extra classes also for the students better learning. There were many exams conducted. As JIS Group has built its own LMS the internal exam is now taken regular basis.

The college provides various Internship Opportunities from INTERNSHALA along with that, we have registered ourselves in AICTE-TULIP Portal for other opportunities also. So, we have Internship Opportunities available at our Institute. This week, we will be applying for an Internship Drive with a Pune based Design Company-ELEATION.

The students become eligible for placement from the sixth semester onwards. A lot of companies visit our college as, we have a tie-up with Hyundai, we get placement from there. The other companies conducting Placement Drive are TATA AIG, TOUJOURS PERITUS, REPOSE ENERGY, CHEGG INDIA, BYJU's. Two seniors of mine have received a package of 8 LPA from BYJU's. The average percentage of placement is near about 75-80%.

The fee is nominal when compared to the other Institutes. Since the college is located in Dumdum, access to transportation is very easy here. Also the Dumdum Metro Station and the Airport is also very close. So comparing to the location, the fees is quite ok. I haven't observed any kind of Fee Hike Policies during my B.Tech career. I haven't observed any kind of fee hike policies. JIS provided an internal Scholarship of Rs. 60,000 to the students who have studied Diploma here. Apart from that, there are some government Scholarships to which all students can apply.
