K.G.Engineering Institute was established in 1922 and K.G.Engineering Institute is one of the oldest among government colleges in West Bengal. The college is affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology - [WBUT], Kolkata. The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). This College is situated in the heart of Bishnupur Town. This college now offers 5(Five) courses civil engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics & Tele-communication and Computer Science and Technology. Student total intake capacity is 270. The College Mission is to teach and build modern strength of the students so that they will be successful in their future life.

- Nothing to dislike in this clg but sometimes the electricity is gone without any reasons ofcourse it's the municipality fault.
Admission:
I applied in this college and another college in Kolkata which is Kolkata Technical School. And in first councelling week I got this college and I was very happy as it is near to my home. Admission process is too easy, the college department contact us and gave the notice to take the necessary documents with us when we take the admission.

- The building is very old well only civil engineering classes are doing there
- Campus is very large so time takes to visit

You make the good score in madhyamik exam then one exam will conduct jexpo for first year and voclet for second year then the merit list will published and counselling held then we fillup the ours favorite college

- All the facilities are supporting throughout course.
- Labs and library system is good for all students.
Dislikes
- There no good canteen facility in the college
- Nothing else is there to dislike the college I love my college
Admission:
After 10th or 12th class ,you have to appear a entrance exam i.e. JEXPO conducting by WBSCTE that based on 10th level syllabus .The application is online mode that may be started in May -June month every year, application fees is 500 and the exam held in mid of July and the exam will be in English and Bengali language MCQ pattern with 100 marks and 2 hours time . Expected cut off for general candidate is 75% and others is lower than that. After a good merit rank (GMR) like 0-2000 you can councilling for this college.

Admission:
To join this course there is a exam named JEXPO is organised by West Bengal State Council of Technical education.After the exam as per the rank basis admission process is go on.One have completed Madhyamik Examination to eligible for this exam.
Admission:
For admissions, students have to appear in JEXPO Or WBJEE. 10th passed students are eligible for admission and admission forms, fees, dates etc are published on the official website of the West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development. If any student gets a seat after clearing the exam (mentioned above), he/she will receive a proper email with an allotment letter. Students have to send their Madhyamik result and Admit card along with filling out the form given with the allotment letter. Later he/she will be called to college for verification. After the verification, he /she will be listed on the admission list. Few seats are reserved for OBC, STC, SC etc. I think the admission process is good and during the verification process, the respected teachers and staff (involved in the verification process) are very helpful and supportive to the students. Although the online pre-verification for the allotment letter is a little complex.

One of the oldest and greatest polytechnic colleges in West Bengal. It is established in 1992.For computer science and technology eligible less than 12,000 Jexpo ranks. The application form is also available Jexpo website, application fees are 450, and application dates are between January to February month. In this college reservation seats are also available like EWS, sc, st. The admission process is so smooth.

All over nice teachers were a bit strict at the first time but with time tey will become like friends College is in a bad position because after 6 pm you will not be able to return from College or towards College

As i described all the things known to me, i must say its a good college to develop yourself but nobody will spoon feed you, its you and your wishdom can change your life, so utilise every fraction of chances and be a succesfull ethical engineer.
